14.01.2022 SPEAK UP, have you voice heard. Please see upcoming event being run by Pinarc. This is a workshop available to people with disabilities, their families, carers and those who work with them.
11.01.2022 Ballarat Regional Industries welcomes the commencement of the NDIS to the Ballarat Region starting the 1st January 2017. With the introduction of the NDIS the goal of ensuring our participants are given every opportunity to exercise their choice and control over their lives will also be realised. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing disability support. The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and sig...nificant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life. The NDIS will help people with disability achieve their goals. This may include greater independence, community involvement, employment, and improved well being. An insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability to improve their outcomes later in life. The NDIS also provides people with disability, their family and carers with information and refers to existing support services in the community. By 2019, the NDIS will support about 460,000 Australians with disability. Ballarat Regional Industries empowers people to live enriched, independent lives.
