24.01.2022 MEAKIN, REED & DOYLE TAKE OUT ZWIFT SERIES AGGREGATE After 7 weeks of online racing sponsored by 7 Ballarat Bike Shops and supported by 85 Ballarat people, the aggregate was fittingly won by 3 outstanding riders. Congratulations to Ben Meakin, Darryn Reed and Rob Doyle for your consistent performances throughout the series. Your efforts have won you an additional $50 voucher from Cyclescape, Bikes on Latrobe and Dynamite Cycles respectively. 10.01.2022 MY RIDE - RIDES OF THE NIGHT Another great turnout of 40 Ballarat affiliated riders competed across 4 grades in Race 6 of the Ballarat Bike Shop Zwift Series tonight. Thanks to the team at My Ride, the following riders; Rob Doyle, Ash Bourke, James Knipe and Jennifer Collier have all won a $25 shop voucher (and a bonus aggregate point) for their Ride of the Night. Please go to My Ride on Sturt St to collect or redeem your voucher. An updated aggregate will be emailed out soon.... 08.01.2022 TROPHY CABINET SEARCH We've got loads of club memorabilia, historic race books, trophies and shields but we don't have a secure place to put them on display at our Marty Busch club rooms. If you know of anyone or any club that we could purchase one from please let us know. We have about 2 meters of space in width and height and the cabinet needs to be lockable. Thanks.

07.01.2022 Crit Circuit Opening Next Wednesday We're pleased to announce that we will be recommencing our junior skills sessions and hot laps as of next Wednesday 11th November from 5:30pm until 6:00pm. All kids are welcome and there is no cost involved. All they need is a bike and a helmet. Please spread the word and invite your family and friends. Following the juniors, adults are most welcome to take advantage of the closed roads and ride the new/altered circuit from 6:00pm until 7:0...0pm. This will serve as a great opportunity to test out the new section of road and see what it is like without the bollards. Please be careful though and ensure there is never any more than a group of 10 riders together. In other news, the Road Nationals have been postponed until February 2021 and the Victorian Criterium Championships will be included as part of the event. Ride of the Night winners will also receive a bonus aggregate point on top of the participation aggregate point. 03.01.2022 Ballarat Zwift Race Series registrations are sitting just shy of 60 which is outstanding. As it stands at 9am this morning, there are 33 entries for this week's Trial Race at 9.30am on Sunday. If you want to race on Zwift this week, there are 2 things you need to do before 5pm TODAY (Friday 25th)... 1. Register for the series via the web site here (takes 2 minutes) - https://briens.kartra.com/page/bzrs20 2. Then register for the event using the information that will be emailed after you register for the series (text, email or WhatsApp). Don't be that one Zwift rider in Ballarat to miss this.

Congratulations to Darryn Reed who won A grade in his first attempt, Rob Forsyth who was rewarded for his consistency over the 7 weeks, Luke Taylor with an incredibly strong performance in C grade and Scott Petrie for his consistent efforts in D. 01.01.2022 JUNIOR CRITS ARE BACK IN A BIG WAY! A phenomenal turnout of 29 kids took part in the first junior skills session and crits since March. It was fantastic to see such a great response after many months with no cycling events. A big thank you to Dean Wells for promoting, organising and setting up, Chris Liston for leading the coaching, Luke Taylor for corner marshalling and the parents/guardians for bringing the kids and assisting/supporting. Let’s hope the weather is just as good next week and likewise the turnout!
