25.01.2022 Make a difference to those struggling with food insecurity in Ballarat this Christmas by getting involved in the Reverse Advent Calendar box project. What is a ...Reverse Advent Calendar? A Reverse Advent Calendar begins as an empty box. Each day throughout December instead of taking something out of the box (like you do with a regular Advent Calendar) you put an item of food in. On the 20th of December deliver your box to York St Church of Christ where it will be distributed to several Ballarat organisations who will give the boxes to families in need at Christmas time. Please like and share our page. More information will be coming soon on how you can get a specially branded Reverse Advent Calendar box.

25.01.2022 SPINAL HEALTH WEEK This week is Spinal Health Week. That means that this is the perfect opportunity to ask your Chiropractor about any questions relating to posture. Posture relates to the sustained position we hold our bodies in while we are sitting, standing or lying down. Poor posture increases pressure on your spine and may contribute to fatigue, muscle soreness, headaches and back pain. If you have any questions regarding the correct sitting position for your desk, chair, car seat, couch or sleeping, please do not hesitate to ask us at your next appointment.

23.01.2022 We are taking a short break this weekend to attend the Gonstead Chiropractic Society seminar in Sydney - closed on Fri 9th and Sat 10th. There are still appointments available tomorrow Thurs 8th. Hurry to avoid missing out.

21.01.2022 Good morning everyone. The situation with covid-19 is continually evolving as you all are well aware. Under Stage 1 of the National Cabinet guidelines from yesterday, we are considered essential enough to remain OPEN. We have been advised by Premier Daniel Andrews that we as a state should expect that further changes WILL occur. So, for now, we are OPEN as per our normal schedule. We will continue to adhere to the national guidelines with respect to cleanliness and sanitati...on, especially between patients. We ask that you use the hand sanitisers provided at the front desk or the hand washing facilities. We also ask that you use common sense and stay away if you are unwell or have had contact with someone who is unwell. Thanks for your understanding, we are trying our best to keep things as normal as possible.

17.01.2022 Ballarat you are AMAZING! Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Reverse Advent Calendar this year. These photos do not do justice to the experience... of being at York St Church of Christ today and witnessing you all brave the heat to deliver your boxes filled and overflowing with goodies. Your generosity has blown us away. Throughout the day our volunteers could be regularly heard saying oooh look at this, what a great idea to include.... We believe we have around 1500 boxes packed, stacked and ready to be distributed to the various food relief organisations tomorrow. Together we have done something very amazing. So many Ballarat families will have food and other essentials this Christmas because of you. A big thank you as well to our team of volunteers who helped in so many ways today. Some were there for over 8 hours helping bring boxes in from the cars. You are appreciated and spectacular!

16.01.2022 Have you ever taken your child to a Chiropractor? Did you yourself receive a Chiropractic adjustment as a child? How would you feel if this right was taken away? Chiropractic continues to be attacked from the outside-in by those ignorant of its benefits and how it works. Following some negative tabloid media attention, the Victorian Health Minister has commissioned Safer Care Victoria to conduct a review of Chiropractic care for those under 12. It is her aim to discredit and... eliminate the option of Chiropractic care for kids of this age group. Every week 30,000 Australian children are safely seen by Chiropractors. Its true! In fact, there has has never been a claim against a Chiropractor for negligence or harm on a child under the age of 16 years (ref Guild Insurance). So, as part of the review, they want to hear from Australian parents who have utilised Chiropractic services for their children. This survey is for ALL paediatric Chiropractic patients, not just those of this clinic. Please take a short minute to share your positive experiences. It is vital to for parents to have freedom of choice and it is vital for the survival of Chiropractic, the way we know it to be. Thank you so much https://engage.vic.gov.au/chiropractic-spinal-care-children

15.01.2022 Open as normal Saturday 25th January but we’ll be taking a break on Monday for the public holiday. Reopening Tuesday 28th January. Please check our online booking system (via the website) for available appointments.

14.01.2022 Under the latest stage 2 shutdown measures put forward by the Prime Minister and the National Cabinet last night, we can continue to remain OPEN for business. However due to a change in demand, we will be operating under newly revised hours. The online booking system will continue to remain operational for now. We stress that we continue to remain vigilant in providing a clean, safe and healthy clinical environment for you to attend and for us to work in. We are now taking fu...rther enhanced measures to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus which include, but are not limited to: - The observation of the social distancing recommendations for our reception and waiting rooms. - All waiting room magazines and children’s toys have been removed from display, indefinitely. - We are also asking for payment via card in preference to cash. If you are unwell, take this time to stay at home in isolation to rest and recover. Please ensure that you seek medical attention if you are experiencing flu like symptoms, of cough, fever, shortness of breath, and/or sore throat. If you have specific questions regarding home care advice please contact us with your query and our Chiropractor can return your call as soon as possible. Thanks again for your understanding.

13.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who donated to our Royal Childrens Hospital NICU charity this year. It was an incredible response in the short time we had the collection box available. Thank you also to each and every person who has supported Ballarat Spinal Health this year. We would not be here without your continued support. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you all in 2019!

08.01.2022 Please, if you havent already completed the survey regarding the review of Chiropractic for children under 12 years of age, do so now. All submissions must be made by 5pm today. The short survey is for parents/guardians who have taken their children to see a Chiropractor OR for those who were patients of a Chiropractor as a child under 12 years old. The government needs to hear your stories. This is not only about chiropractic, but it is also about our rights as parents to choose which health care modalities we access for us and our children. Make haste now. engage.vic.gov.au/chiropractic-spinal-care-children-review

06.01.2022 This post from Dr Droessler has some very interesting information. Yes, we can adjust your spine, but if you arent looking after yourself, will your adjustments have the required stay-put value? Maybe youll need to see us more often? Its all food for thought. Remember that youre in the drivers seat though and what we do in our lives will impact our health whether we know it or not.

05.01.2022 Please welcome Leon and Ying, our final year Chiropractic students from RMIT who are undertaking their placement with us for the next 10 weeks. You will most likely see them around during your next visit.

03.01.2022 Too early for Christmas decorations? It is all for a good cause. This year we are actively participating in the Reverse Advent Calendar initiative through @reverseadventcalendarballarat. So, if youre stopping in for an adjustment, please be sure to bring an item or two from your pantry to contribute to our box. Items we are looking for include non perishable food items, personal care items / toiletries, Christmas decorations and supplies. We will be collecting items up until Thursday 19th December 2019. These items will go towards supporting local families in need.

02.01.2022 There is no doubt everyone is experiencing considerable challenge and uncertainty during this constantly evolving COVID-19 situation.
