22.01.2022 Hi all it was a hot and windy morning this morning for our Wal Brown events Simon Tournier (29.03) won the Wal Brown 8km from Pat O'Leary jnr (29.32) and Ash Rogers (29.53)... Rex Brennan (15.42) was the winner of the 4km handicap with Micah Hickingbotham (16.11)2nd and Jacob Cheeseman (14.44) 3rd. The 1500m handicap was won by Paige Tuddenham from Blake O'Brien (6.03) and Emily O'Brien (5.50) If you still have a virtual run to do please send your run through before Sunday night. 17.01.2022 CHANGES TO LLANBERRIS RESTRICTIONS! Morning all, With the Victorian governments recent changes of restrictions BRAC moves to version 4 of the BRAC Return To Pla...y Policy. The following changes to Llanberris use will now be observed: - Groups of 50 are now allowed inside the venue with a maximum capacity of 500 people. Groups must continue to be separate and not mingle with each other. - Masks are no longer required for outdoor activities unless social distancing can't be guaranteed. Athletes must have access to mask at all times regardless. - BRAC has now moved to QR Code technology as the preferred mode of contract tracing for all individuals using the facility. Each person needs to scan the code and enter their personal details. The athlete attendance form can still be submitted if you don't have access to a smart phone. The QR code is below. 17.01.2022 Hi all 47 runners ended up competing over the weekend Andrew Lang took out the Walsh Family 6km from Joshua Ballinger and Pat O'Leary (21.02) who was also fastest by 3 seconds from David Grigg (21.05)... 16.01.2022 Exciting news for our Friday night junior athletes with the easing of restrictions last weekend slightly altering the way we run our season. Emails have been sent out this evening with updated information. All athletes that have competed this season will now be added into age groups ahead of Friday and will no longer need to pre-register.... New families still welcome, however registration forms will need to be submitted by Thursday evening to allow time for processing. Looking forward to another fantastic week of athletics.

13.01.2022 REGIONAL VICTORIA MOVING TO STEP 3 With the government’s announcement that regional Victoria will be moving to Step 3 of the Dan Andrews Road Map, the BRAC Retu...rn To Play Policy changes once again. The major change is training groups of 10 people are permitted with a venue maximum of 20 people. We are awaiting confirmation from Athletics Victoria if part time coaches are allowed to coach with groups again. BRAC will update everybody when we find out. All the other rules and procedures still apply for using the facility. 12.01.2022 After what seems like an eternity since we had a "normal" competition, we are somewhat optimistic that 2021 will allow us to run our usual Cross Country Program. We thought to get you all in the swing of it again that we would encourage everyone to dust off the red & white and meet up at Vic Park on Saturday morning (27th Feb) for a jog around at Park Run. 8.00am start.... 12.01.2022 Hi all we ended up with 52 runners over the weekend for our 3km handicap at Lake Esmond Sarah Brennan (16.44) won the senior 3km handicap from Ben Fahy and David Grigg (9.49) who ran the fastest time... Micah Hickingbotham (11.10) won the junior 3km handicap from Gretta Ashley (11.39) and Alicia Buckland (12.50). Georgina Mees (10.51) was fastest female. Lachlan Anderson won the U10 and U12 1500m from Emily O'Brien and Olivia Hickingbotham. 11.01.2022 Hi all 42 runners braved the windy and blustery conditions on the Lake tonight. Mark Dainton (24.48) took out the Ern Dowling trophy while Sam Pearse (21.54) won the Brian Howlett Junior Lap of the Lake.... Simon Tournier and Ash Rogers were equal fastest with 20.25 while Eliza Lepair (26.33) was fastest female Archie Grant was the winner of the junior 1500m handicap. 09.01.2022 A busy day for YCW at various competitions today. Kicking off early this morning at park run it was great to see so many YCW members out for a jog around and PBs for Eliza Lepair (also first female), Dean Watts and Lachlan Anderson. At Lakside for weekend two of state championships Samuel Blood ran a new 800m PB. Fraser Stott ran a very strong 200m and looked very impressive. Alicia Buckland is through to the 800m final on Sunday, along with many other lining up for the 3000...m events. At the Little A's Regionals great runs from Aria, Amy, Lenni and Chloe to claim gold and Jud claiming bronze. Keep shining YCW athletes - all your training is paying off!

06.01.2022 Don’t forget to jump onto the BRAC Facebook page and register if you’re planning on attending the second come and try day at Llanberris this coming Saturday. If you do intend to participate you will also need to provide someone (or be willing to do yourself) that is able to fulfil the many club helper volunteer roles that are needed for smooth running. Entries close 8.00pm tonight.
06.01.2022 Club Helpers needed! Are you competing at State Championships on Saturday? As a club we need to provide assistance at the long jump events across the day.... Many hands make light work and we would love to share the duties amongst all families that are heading down.
