25.01.2022 This is Nathan. Nathan attends Interclub, our social club for people with disabilities in Ballarat. Nathan really wanted to gain employment in a shop, so he tol...d the Interclub Coordinator, who suggested that he could enrol in a Certificate I in Transition Education with BRACE to improve his employability skills. He completed his Integrated Practical Placement with our op-shop, Ballarat Bargain Browsers, as part of his qualification and loved it so much that he now volunteers for the op-shop. It gets me out of the house and I am learning lots about money handling and how to use a cash register. I also love the customers and have a great boss said Nathan. See more

While you’re rummaging through your wardrobe to make space for your new items, why not consider donating your old quality clothing to a good cause? Donate to one of our two fantastic op-shops in Ballarat! Bag up the clothing you no longer need like jackets, shirts, pants, dresses, tops, accessories and any other item you’re happy to part with. If you’re n...ot sure if you’re ready to part with an item, try to remember when you last used it. If you haven’t used it for the past 12 months, then it’s got to go! You can also donate bric-a-brac and homewares! We take donations at our both our OP-portunity stores in Ballarat, as well as at our BRACE offices in Windermere Street and on the corner of Scott Parade and Havelock St. Not in Ballarat? Don’t worry, you can still help! In fact, you can drop your donations at any SkillsPlus or BRACE office across Victoria. We’ll make sure the donations make their way to our shops in Ballarat!
