25.01.2022 Whether it is a dinosaur photo or black cockatoo photo that you prefer, we have both! We will be open every day of the school holidays from Boxing Day, Thursday the 26th December, 2019, right through until Monday the 27th January, 2020. Our normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. will apply.



24.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that we finally reopen today and are able to offer the black cockatoo photo opportunity at the usual times of 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.. Included in the admission price, just use your own camera. We look forward to welcoming back new and return customers throughout the school holidays.

22.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that we will be closed tomorrow, Friday the 20th of December, due to the extreme weather predicted and a total fire ban being enforced for the State of Victoria.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately, we will be closed today again due to the Total Fire Ban. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes anyone but the weather is looking slightly cooler for the next few days so all being well we will be able to open again tomorrow, New Year's Eve.

19.01.2022 We will be open as usual next Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the end of the school holidays. The weather outlook is looking amazing so why not come and see us and get up close with our friendly red tailed black cockatoo. Photo opportunity times are 11am, 2pm and 4pm.



18.01.2022 Looking to do something different this Father's Day? Why not bring your Father to Ballarat Bird World and give him the special experience of having a black cockatoo sit on his shoulder! Photo times are 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.. Just use your own camera! No extra charge, price included in admission. We will be open Sunday as usual from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..

17.01.2022 We now have a full sized animatronic triceratops dinosaur on display. Ten metres long and three metres high. Looks and sounds amazing! Children (and grown ups) will love having their photo taken standing next to it.

16.01.2022 Our new maze and picnic area is now open. The weather is looking great for the weekend so we would love to see local and regional visitors come and enjoy our latest attraction.

14.01.2022 Ballarat Bird World remains open to all visitors able to travel at this time and are not subject to covid-19 restrictions. Our normal operating days of Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday still apply. No bookings are required. Our resident magpie recommends practising good hygiene whilst at Ballarat Bird World.

11.01.2022 Looking for a Bird or Dinosaur gift for Christmas or a Gift Voucher to give to someone? We are open as normal every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 5pm.

08.01.2022 We are still open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the remainder of the Victorian school holidays until the 27th January, 2020. Our birds have been very busy entertaining the holiday visitors so far. Just a reminder that our black cockatoo photo opportunity is at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

Our admission prices are Adults $15.00, concession $12.00, Family (2 adults and up to 4 children aged 4 to 16 years) $35.00. Additional child tickets are $6.00 each.

05.01.2022 Our parrots are enjoying the spring weather in the free flight aviary.

05.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that as an outdoor attraction, we are still open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. At this stage, we will also be open every day of the Victorian School holidays/Easter break from the 28th March until the 13th April, 2020. If the situation changes, we will let you know. 03.01.2022 Another Total Fire Ban has been declared for our district tomorrow, Friday the 31st January, 2020 so just letting everyone know that we will be closed for the day. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

02.01.2022 We will reopen on Saturday the 27th June, 2020 and will be open every day of the Victorian School holidays. Our cafe remains closed at this stage however takeaway cake and coffee will be available.

Visitors will be required to provide their first name and phone number upon entry together with proof of their current address ie Drivers Licence, Rate Notice etc.. No visitors from lockdown areas will be admitted. Face masks must be worn at all times unless you have an exemption. ... We look forward to seeing everyone in October.
