25.01.2022 Another successful Zoom meeting last night with 27 participants. Great to have a local photographer Lisa Smith critique our 70 images. Also last night we took the opportunity to present year badges to members. Plus a special presentation to Kate Both with a Meritorious Award for her years of service to the club. If you missed the meeting it will be published in the next Flare.
25.01.2022 He there, I am looking for a capable photographer to do some wedding photos on the 13th Feb. I would prefer to allow someone learning their craft to do the photos, as it is a great learning experience for them. Please let me know if there is anyone willing to take on the task. If anyone is keen let me know and I will contact Andrew Drew. I can’t seem to forward his details on. No doubt my due to my limited knowledge on Facebook.

15.01.2022 Today I was fortunate to see one of these wonderful bees enjoying the lavender. Apparently they are are a solitary bee that nest in the mud, hopefully somewhere near here. I think they are called a Checkered Cuckoo Bee.

03.01.2022 Ballarat Camera had an outing today. Members enjoying the BALLARAT regions outdoors. Members travelled in their own vehicles, maintaining safe distances from each other. We still managed to interact at Nimmons Bridge, Devils Kitchen and the Clarkesdale Birdlife Sanctuary. Looking forward to seeing some stunning images from Nimmons Bridge, the cool day and cloud cover making for an opportunity to express ourselves with black and white images. The resident Peregrine Falcon made its presence known at Devils Kitchen as did a few small birds at the bird sanctuary.
