25.01.2022 Another incredible day of filming covering a range of venues, styles, disciplines (dance, drama and music), songs, weather, moods and all the different aspects that make up the BCMA. Thanks to teachers Rachael Shelton, Mika Wallace and Ella Graham for preparing and supporting your students, tech team Matthew Heenan and Siobhan Heenan, Jennifer Kaess and Matt Kaess for the use of their beautiful home, all of our supportive families, our costume ladies over the years who have built up an extraordinary array of wonderful costumes and our current ladies who have married these to our current need, and of course Kryal Castle for a range of remarkable spaces. And then there are the amazing students who are embracing this as their End of Year Concert, mid-year, soirées, drama plays ....all rolled into one.

24.01.2022 Today's filming includes dancers and singers at The Main Bar, Mercure Hotel gardens and Kryal Castle. We are looking forward to a range of singers and dancers with very different scenarios from Tinkerbell to Nick Cave. We'll be out there form 9AM - 8PM all going well. Can someone bring out the sun please? Oh ....and coffee of course. https://gf.me/u/y58v44

19.01.2022 So pleased that Samuel was able to along to this first Scholars session after missing out all year. That you Cecchetti and The Holzberger family for making this possible.

18.01.2022 I am so overwhelmed by this incredible support so far. We are sitting at $935 of our target of $3500. This just makes things feel that much more possible. Thank you ...sincerely....please feel free to share.

14.01.2022 Yesterdays day of filming and recording was just magical. Beautiful singers recording their favourite songs, stunning dancers displaying their wonderful works in beautiful gardens, castle throne rooms, graveyards, lovely sunshine and the great company of my brother Matthew Heenan and co-worker Daniel Lamech. With enormous thanks the Main Bar in Main road for a wonderful 'historical' style filming venue and to the Mercure Ballarat Hotel & Convention Centre for allowing us to... roam and film in their gorgeous gardens (and great coffee brought out to us too), and once again to the incredible staff and owners of Kryal Castle for giving us free reign of the whole complex after hours together with a staff member to provide access and support for our venture. We are loving the different rooms and spaces that we are filming so many original pieces in. The students are certainly letting their imaginations run wild and putting us through our paces with their artistry. Please allow time in your weekends to go out early to Kryal before filming and enjoy the events and shows that this team have for your your enjoyment and in turn support those who are supporting us. Enjoy these sneak preview photos, but get ready for the REAL DEAL. See more

14.01.2022 SATURDAY’s filming. WOW! What a completely awesome day of filming and recording. So many wonderful, happy faces enjoying the chance to perform in a very different way. Thanks again to the incredible teachers who have been simply amazing every step of the way.

07.01.2022 FRIDAY Today’s filming took us from our youngest jazz class to our senior Production class with some hip hop, song and dance and a soloist in between. Funny when I remember some of these seniors from when they were the juniors ages. All went splendidly again today. Bring on tomorrow and Sunday’s filming fun now.

03.01.2022 Very excited to announce that another little BCMA lamb is returning to the flock. Libby McKew danced with us, became an assistant teacher, office administrator and then teacher and Personal assistant to the director before gaining her school teaching qualification and taking off. Starting tomorrow you will see her gorgeous, smiley, masked face behind the front desk and buzzing around the studios. Welcome home Miss Libby.

03.01.2022 SUNDAY’s filming We have some incredible champions at the BCMA, and Ballarat certainly put on the best show for our filming today to bring them out. In particular our massive tap number titled ‘Tidal Wave’ was true to its name; with some added thunder and lightening. These kids elected to continue dancing out in the open through the storm. It was amazing! We started the day with our very youngest preschoolers being fairies in the rain and continued through princesses in a c...astle, and Luigi’s, Mario’s and Ghosts in a haunted mansion. Now home to get warm and dry. See more
