25.01.2022 Hi everyone, thought I would let you know what we have been doing the past few days since we last saw each other... We have some very talented people currently ...working hard on putting the final touches to some systems and materials which will be available to ALL Gymsports members at no cost. In the coming days you will receive some information that is related to the program you have physically been in which details what you need to do to be part of this new online delivery of Gymsports. There will be lots to do and some fun activities are part of the programs. The programs will remain in place until once again we can all come together and enjoy each others personal company... yippee! On another note, great news, we have met with the developer of the new facility and we are all green lights and go to push on with the build during this down time, this has raised my spirits considerably as hopefully it will yours. We also have a couple of other great things in the pipeline for Gymsports members that we will be releasing next week. 25.01.2022 Hi Families, An update on the online program we have and are still working on for the athletes (and those at home who also want to join in). We have created a s...eries of "Class Rooms" in Google Classroom for every program and their groups. This means we are able to have specific information posted to the right groups. I'd love to be able to set everyone up as soon as possible, to do this though, unfortunately users have to have a gmail account. If you would like to have your child/ren participate in our online program, can you either create one and send it to me or send me the preferred gmail email address to use. 24.01.2022 The PM has announced tonight in his statement, that as of Midday Monday 23/03, ALL Sporting Clubs and Facilities MUST be closed. It is with a heavy heart and hu...ge sigh we are announcing that Gymsports will not be in a position to offer any form of face to face coaching effective immediately and until such time as we are informed otherwise. Heather is working on credits for everyone affected to be applied to accounts. We are currently working on releasing an e-learn and online system that will be able to allow our members to continue some form of training, through their portal and secure site/s, further information will be released in the coming few days. At this point in time Gymsports would like to acknowledge the great work our coaches have done this term under some very stressful conditions and will be working with each and every one of them to ensure we do what we can to support them through this period. Thank you also to all our amazing families for supporting us to this point in time and hope you will stick with us WHEN we return. Can I please ask that those families with outstanding accounts also help us to survive by settling these as soon as possible. 22.01.2022 Are you ready for School... what about Gym? DON'T MISS OUT There are limited spots available for each class, so don't wait too long to reserve a spot for your c...hild! Returning athletes MUST be re-enrolled via the Parent Portal... Please don't simply roll up as there have been some changes re classes and timings for Term 1 (in preparation for our amazing NEW centre in Term 2). Remember if you have any problems, simply contact us at the gym! We have some very exciting new coaches (including an ex World Champion) joining us in Term 1, so we look forward to seeing you very shortly back in the gym.

22.01.2022 With the upcoming expected 2 days of heat, the club will be monitoring and enforcing our heat policy early for those seniors and cheerleaders at Summer Camp Th...ursday and especially Friday. Thursday will see monitoring and extra breaks introduced. Friday will see classes brought forward an hour earlier than normal plus a reduction by an hour in training session length. Athletes and parents should check with their respective coaches on Thursday for the Friday details. Athletes are reminded that drink continually as once you feel dehydrated... it's too late!!

10.01.2022 Parents and students are advised that due to multiple hot days, drink bottles are a MUST at training! Ballarat's weather has dropped slightly and the venue is c...urrently sitting on 30C but slowly cooling down. It will take a longer time for the gym to drop than it does outside so we are implementing our Heat Plan stage 1: - Classes will CONTINUE as usual - More frequent drink breaks will be introduced for ALL athletes AND coaches - Staff will be on alert to observe and monitor, and where required care for heat affected persons as a priority - Athletes and coaches are highly recommended to bring their water bottles to training sessions Parents are asked to assist us by ensuring their children bring water bottles, wear appropriate clothing for the heat and have them inform their coaches if they are feeling unwell.

05.01.2022 The end of the term is fast approaching and we need your help to ensure we all have a great Christmas and holiday period... We currently have many outstanding a...ccounts which we URGENTLY need to have finalised. The accounts team have been busy doing their best however we need families to now act and do the right thing! To everyone who has zeroed their accounts already or have an in-place payment arrangement... Thank You so much. The accounts team will be placing outstanding accounts in the hands of our Collection Agency after the 19th December, please assist us to keep this activity to a minimum at this time of the year.

03.01.2022 MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTORS It has come to our attention that there is confusion in the Ballarat Cheer community about an old Cheer site (Ballarat Cheerleading/Ballarat Magic Cheerleading) that under Facebook policies should have been deleted, it still continues to operate again. This site illegally purports to be supported by Ballarat Gymsports Cheerleading by advertising another club on our behalf. This is NOT the case! Ballarat Cheerleading ceased trading and was derigister...ed in June 2017! This is illegal, immoral and extremely confusing. Despite the owner being sent more than 1 contact requesting them to correct and delete, nothing has been done. We have today reported the site to Facebook and also the Justice department and Consumer Affairs as the site is acting in a fraudulent and deceptive manner and we are no longer prepared to tolerate it. 02.01.2022 ENROLMENTS ARE OPEN NOW! A number of classes have already filled so don't wait until the day of class... do it NOW on line! The Gym will be open Sunday from 10a...m to 4pm and then each day from 9am to 8pm for those families unsure how to register online or what classes their children are in. Feel free to pop in or call us for assistance.
