21.01.2022 We’ve all had our ‘dotty’ days during the COVID-19 pandemic, but our Year 3-6 Art students have been getting dotty over International Dot Day. The day is a celebration of creativity inspired by ‘The Dot’, written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds. It is a day to think about ways in which we can use our special talents to make the world a better place. The students were encouraged to have a go at making dotty, spotty, fun artwork in different art mediums.

06.01.2022 This week the Year 11 Physics students made planes of the same design, but using different size (A3, A4,A5) paper, and measured the distance each one was able to fly. In line with Scientific Method the planes were launched a number of different times and the average distance flown by each type of plane calculated. The students will use the results to compare distance flown with paper size, to test the theory that bigger planes should fly further. Different quality paper was also tested, with some planes being made out of cardboard, or heavier paper.
