As one of the largest networks of dance in Ballarat, Ballarat Dance Awards (BDA) has brought scholarships, masterclasses and performance opportunities to over 70 dance students from Expressions Ballet Academy, Sharon Lawrence Academy of Dance, Infinite Dance Studios, Rebekah Davey Academy of Dance, Torquay Dance Academy, Joanne O’Kelly School of Dance, Ballarat Dance Centre, Point Cook Performing Arts, Volar Dance Centre, May Downs School of Dancing, The Jane M...oore Academy of Ballet, Gippsland Academy of Dance, KC’s School of Dance, MJ Dance Studio, Michelle Slater Performing Arts Studio and Anita Coutts School of Dance. With over $10,000 in prizes and an amazing donation of $2304 for Fragile X Australia. We owe tremendous thanks to all who have supported BDA in 2019 & this year. Because of you - the participants, parents, teachers, friends, supporters and audiences all our dancers have been able to learn new skills, make new friends and perform in a wonderfully inclusive and welcoming environment. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and hope to make 2021 even bigger, so add us to the calendar. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date of the Teachers and Sponsors as we secure our 2021 line up. We will email information on how to use your vouchers for 2021 when registrations open. Please book early as we will be closing registration for the Awards Challenge once we reach capacity. 14.01.2022 Dear friends & family as the coronavirus (COVID-19) is taking hold in Australia, the Australian Government has advised that non-essential gatherings should be ...limited to 500 people. We are doing what we can to keep our studios as virus-free as possible, offering hand sanitizer to all students and disinfecting ballet barres, doorknobs, bathrooms and kitchens daily. As long as schools remain open, so does our studio. But - what happens when schools indeed close and students and their families are required to isolate? WE ARE READY FOR SUCH A MOMENT! To maintain a certain level of normalcy, to stay positive, happy & fit in such a situation, we have put resources in place to continue classes online! While designed for our students, we are considering to open our virtual doors to other young dancers as well. We will share more information soon.

13.01.2022 Caitlyn Martin is looking forward to jumping into summer and @ballaratdanceawards Caitlyn was awarded one of the two @amandabollinger.academy scholarships. Due to COVID-19 and the generosity of @amandabollinger.academy Caitlyn will take up her scholarship in 2021.
