Gyms have the safest forms of contact tracing:- Clubs have had COVID management plans in place since March 2020 including compulsory COVID19 staff training undertaken via health.gov.au Gyms have invested thousands $ in their community to keep their members and teams safe, such as COVID19 educational marketing, extra social media costs, installing different streams of hygiene products in house, extra staff for cleaning and the list go...es on. We have:- 1.Booking Systems that tell us which zones the member participates in. 2.Membership scanning on the entry gate that provides all personal details including picture i.d! 3. Designated times to avoid overcrowding 4. Participating club rules on entry 5. No casual use Our clubs need to open people need to get back to moving their bodies and feeling mentally healthy before they become a stat in the strained health care system we currently have. I see a COVID tax coming to cope with the destruction caused to business during 2020... If I can shop at a supermarket, get petrol, get my nails done, and swim in a pool....that people probably pee in! 02.01.2022 Just checking in with everybody to see how you all are. We know you guys are missing the gym and needing to get back and we certainly feel your pain. We wanted to remind you that you have some options below to keep you healthy and moving!! 1. Bootcamp Group Cardio or Strength sessions outside 6am -6pm these can be done in groups of 2 up to 10.... 2. Cycle classes now the weather is looking better for next week. Up to 10 people outside. 3. Weights sessions with a trainer outside 4. Group classes online Sarah and Tylah are in the gym Monday - Thursday 7am - 2pm ringing members doing bits and pieces and doing some retail sales... Brad has been busy putting down more rubber flooring in the red area, new ceiling heaters are in three areas and the big ass fan looks great. We eagerly await the arrival of our booty builder and our Hammer strength plate loaded belt squat which we know many of you are hanging out for and will certainly add value to your workout. Mel is looking forward to launching group fitness again with some new options, KMX bags will go down to the HNR room to create more options with boxing circuits which include the box masters and air bikes. We had 4 new Sparc trainers delivered and these are in the group fitness room with 2 from HNR so 6 in total to create new programming and 2 in the cardio area with the 2 new Life Fitness steppers. We are missing our community badly and we just wanted you to know that we haven't forgotten about any of you, we are truly working hard every day for you to get our clubs open. Body & Soul is more than a business it always has been it's a community, a family and culture built on a love for what we do, a place of non-judgment a place of equality a place for many to escape to for many different reasons. I may not know every name, I may not get to speak to every person that walks thru the door but do know we know your faces and we know gym time is your time of the day that belongs to you. Your public vilification of my peers and your lack of manliness to educate yourself on an industry that solely focuses on better health decreases mental health issues, suppresses addiction, eliminates chronic illness, fights off fatal disease along with keeping the elderly and c...hildren active astonishes me and 900 thousand health and fitness members in Victoria. That's 900 thousand votes. It's now up to the fitness industry to take charge, you Dan Andrews are restricting our trade with no evidence to keep us closed. In a court of law, you would be thrown out we would re-open and compensation would be paid.
