18.01.2022 The current fires devastating much of Australia have greatly affected many of our members, their families, the community, volunteers and service professionals.... For those of us not in the fire ravaged areas the impact is beyond our comprehension. The RHSV wishes to express their ongoing support for all those affected and for the fire and emergency services whose efforts cannot be understated. The intensity of these events makes it impossible for us to adequately express how we feel. In solidarity with the Australian community, we send you all our best wishes. See more

06.01.2022 Bush fires sympathy from Jerome The unthinkable bush fire devastation being faced by so many overshadows my sad hanging basket. Sometimes things can be salvaged... and other times something new needs to be grown. I’ve chopped back my Arenaria Montana after the heat disagreed with it but hope some of the green tinges will sprout, otherwise will have to rethink my plants. Remember things can be re-grown/replaced but not you. Please keep safe.

02.01.2022 Hi there, I’m wondering whether anyone has iPhone boxes that need a new home? Asking for a creative friend in Melb lockdown and I’d love to send her some to keep her going. I can collect from Castlemaine then send as a love pack. Thanks.

02.01.2022 Beekeepers estimate a quarter of Kangaroo Island’s beehives have been destroyed by bushfire. A huge loss for the quarantined island, which is home to the worlds most pure strain of Ligurian honey bee . : Carl Saville

02.01.2022 Gnorbitt Gnome and the RHSV visited another of our generous supporters 'Formosa Nursery ', Ballarat. Here you will find an amazing selection of both indoor and... outdoor plants and of course all the accompanying products and friendly professional advice that will allow your plants to grow, fight diseases and thrive. There is also a very good selection of garden ornaments. Gnorbitt was pleased to catch up with some brother gnomes who are waiting to add a little cheer to perhaps your garden. Check out 'Formosa Nursery ' when you are next in Ballarat. See more
