09.01.2022 This term we introduced a new class 'Literacy Through Art' and it has been exciting having a local and talented artist Pauline O'Shannessy-Dowling join our team. This course is designed for people with low literacy and numeracy skills and whose first language may not be English. No art experience is necessary! You will be creating an art piece/mural to be displayed at the Ballarat South HUB building. Planning and creating the art project together will help learners expand the...ir vocabulary, encourage discussion, improve their ability to give and take instructions and work in a team. Learners will increase their social interaction, learn new skills, and develop self-confidence by being involved in the art project. This will be a popular class in 2021. https://www.facebook.com/paulineoshannessydowlingartist

08.01.2022 Great news for those who need extra help with Christmas not far away. This year with many organisations closed we swapped our sit down community lunches to providing take home meals for our community. We thought this would be for a few week's not all year so after providing thousands of meals this year and with other organisations reopening, our program will stop before Christmas. In early 2021 we want to get back to meeting and sharing meals with our community members.
