14.01.2022 Just letting all members know that the club is shut as of 12 noon today, this includes the green, due to the stage 1 shutdown. I have sent an email out to members as well informing them of this. I will let everyone know when the situation changes as we get more information. 12.01.2022 I just need to clear up some confusion. The reason the green was closed as well as the clubrooms is that the redline for our liquor licence goes around our green as well. So when the state govt closed all licenced venues we had to close the green as well as the clubrooms. Bowls Aust have put up a post today saying that the restrictions on some sports may be eased soon, and while this is good news I am not sure if where this will put us due to our liquor licence until I have more information. I will keep everyone updated as we go along and I have been informed where we stand. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. Thanks Scotty

12.01.2022 After the news of yesterday I would like to inform our members that as of Wednesday night the clubhouse will be locked up again, but in line with the information from bowls vic we are allowed to have practice roll ups as we did in the previous stage 3 lockdown. 2 per rink and 10 per green. The AGM planned for the 23rd of August has been cancelled, as have all committee meetings. As I get more information I will pass it on, and please remember to social distance while on the green. Everyone stay healthy and safe and we will get through this together as friends, family and a club. Scotty

08.01.2022 It has come to our attention that covid-19 has reached ballarat. It will be up to those playing tomorrow if they want to shake hands or not. If you choose not to shake hands please make sure you still acknowledge your teammates and opponents during the game. Scotty

06.01.2022 Great news we are open again and pennant is ready to go as well. The bar will be open Friday night with number restrictions as allowed by the state rules, 10 per space with a maximum of 2 spaces and up to 50 outdoors. An announcement on social bowls will be made shortly. The number restriction of bowlers on the green has been lifted as per bowls victoria's advice tonight but we still need to maintain 1.5mts distance apart. Masks still need to be worn.... Pennant will commence Tuesday 17th of november for midweek and 21st of November for weekend pennant. Both midweek and weekend games will be 21 ends straight through with no afternoon tea. Weekend games are going to be split over the Saturday and Sunday. At this stage I am not sure of draws, divisions etc but when I am advised I will pass the information on. See you on the green. 04.01.2022 Bowls Vic have announced today that they will give us a decision tomorrow about returning to the green. The one issue I see at the moment is that our liquor license goes around our green. I have been in talks with Bowls Aust and I am waiting for confirmed advise, but at the moment it looks as if we will be allowed on the green but the clubhouse will need to remain locked as that's our licensed premises. Once I get confirmed information I'll let everyone know. Getting excited about being back on the greens finally though. Hope everyone is safe and well, hope all the mums had a good day yesterday.
