23.01.2022 Frisbee is back! Well as much as we can be. Current restrictions allow non-contact trainings of up to 10 players and a coach. Ballarat Ultimate are taking full advantage of this with 2 training times each week up at Pleasant St Oval, opposite Trekardo. Sessions are posted in the Facebook group for players to book a spot in the comments or you can message this page. ... Times are: 6:30pm-8:00pm Tuesday Nights 10:00am-12:00pm Saturday Mornings First in best dressed for spots at training and we are making sure to take names and numbers, sanitize and keeping 1.5M apart. Hopefully new restrictions come into effect soon which means we can have more people at training and eventually even play some games but stay tuned.

21.01.2022 Long time no post! We hope all in the Ultimate community are doing well in these troubling times and we wish to bring you some good news to brighten your day! From July 20th we are allowed to run full Ultimate games which means we are bringing league back! Term 3 league will be indoor and will have some hygiene restrictions in place but we'll more or less be back to normal! Below is a link with more information on the new restrictions.... Stay tuned for more information as we confirm a venue but keep your Tuesdays free from July 21st onwards! We are aiming to have training back in some capacity as well but will confirm once fields and tournaments have been locked it. 19.01.2022 As always when school goes back, so too does Social League! Running on from Ballarat Ultimate's Draft league, the Term 1 social league will be off to a flying start so register your teams quick! In addition, people who have registered for the Draft league will receive $10 OFF their Term 1 league registration. BU Members receive a further discount! 16.01.2022 Evening all! Here is the link to the December Social League we will be running Tuesday nights: https://afda.com/e/ballarat-ultimate-december-mini-league - please register so we can get teams sorted for game 1. $20 for the 4 weeks or $5 each night, cash on the night. Don't forget next Tuesday we will be playing a shorter game so we can start the club AGM at the Red Lion at 8pm. Get down for a feed and a catchup! Training is also on Saturday morning, 10-12 at Pleasant St Soccer fields. Lets get enough to have a hit out again!

16.01.2022 Evening all! 2 Things tonight: 1 - League is on again tomorrow night, 6:30 - 8:15, Pleasant St Soccer Fields. Be there! 2 - DISC GOLF IS COMING TO BALLARAT. Next Monday (14/12) the City of Ballarat is opening the newly constructed Disc Golf course in Victoria Park. There are some activation sessions where you can get a quick tour of the course and have a try. These sessions are strictly limited so you have to book in using this link: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/.../disc-golf-activation... If you can't make any of these sessions that is fine, the course will be open to the public from Monday for you to go have a try. From what I have been told it is 18 holes and approx 2.5km.

15.01.2022 Evening all! Big news - with the latest easing of restrictions we will be able to play regular Ultimate again! We are also allowed to train in groups of 50 so at this stage everyone interested will have a spot to play. Training this Tuesday will instead be a game from 6:30 until dark, we will warm up as a group to start off with however. ... From next Tuesday we will be commencing a Draft League, more details to come later this week. The first round of the draft will be a bit shorter with a booking at the Red Lion from 8pm for a catch up and to go through the AGM. Tag your mates so they know to get to Pleasant St Soccer Fields Tuesday night at 6:30!

Due to a number of messages we’ve received from concerned people and the look of the numbers we’d get at league the club has decided to cancel the official games tonight. Sorry for the late notice. There is still space to play pick up for those keen on continuing but games will not contribute to the league results. ... Stay tuned for more updates. Wishing everyone stays safe and healthy!

08.01.2022 Good evening Ballarat Ultimate Community, I would like to provide everyone with a quick update on where we are at as a club in these crazy times. Ballarat Ultimate is excited to say we are working closely with the City of Ballarat to allow for some Ultimate to recommence shortly. There will be some further information posted about this in the coming week. ... As of last Friday is was announced that the initial recommencement date of 20 July has had to be postponed statewide due to the high rate of cases in the state. We will be able to provide opportunities to do outdoor training (socially distanced) in the meantime but unfortunately no gameplay. The club recently received a $1,000 grant which will be used to aid in recommencing training and playing. The committee has decided to postpone the AGM to a later month in the year until the dust has settled from the pandemic. We are always looking for any extra volunteers to work with the committee to provide the best outcomes for the club. If anyone has any interest in being a part of this please reach out. Keep your eyes on the Facebook page for any updates on any upcoming playing opportunities. We all are really looking forward to seeing everyone back out on the field. In the meantime it is crucial that we all follow the recommendations from the Government, use our common sense, practice good hygiene, stay home if you are unwell and look out for those around you. 06.01.2022 This time last week our Ballarat Open team were all geared up for March Madness. They came up against some tough competition but even with low numbers were able to come away with some great wins and close calls. The Ballarat Boys ended up placing 6th overall in what was a fantastic weekend. Thanks to those who helped put the tournament together as we may not have one now for a while. The tournament was also our chance to debut our professional new Uniforms from Rubixwear! We are stoked to be sporting this sweet new gear and thank Rubixwear for all their help in getting these to us in time for the tournament.

Unfortunately due to forecast severe storms Saturday and the ch...ange to the tournament season calendar for 2020 Ballarat Ultimate has decided to change GCC to a one day event Sunday 2 February. BU will be looking to run a 2 day event in March to ensure that all teams have ample opportunity for high quality ultimate this season. BU apologises and greatly appreciates your understanding in this matter and we look forward to having you in Ballarat on Sunday at Marty Busch Sebastapol for a packed day of games to start off the season. 04.01.2022 With the Corona Virus fears we would like to confirm that league games will continue as normal tomorrow night. We want to continue providing the physical mental and social benefits offered by league when everything else is closing up.
