20.01.2022 Are you an adult and missing playing sport during COVID-19? One of our very own Bolts members is researching the contribution of participation in sport and physical activity to individuals’ health before, during and after COVID-19 via a short 10 minute survey. We would love your help by completing the survey and circulating the link. The more we know about the role sport plays in our health, the better equipped our sporting organisations are to make informed decisions about ...how they offer sport. https://vuau.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b7QwspUQ43MXYK9
16.01.2022 Congratulations to Greg Wakeling who was awarded runner up for Women and Girls Initiative of the Year in Cricket Victoria's A Sport for All Awards. We cannot thank Waka enough for his tireless work, dedication and support for not only the Bolts but female cricket as a whole in Ballarat.
14.01.2022 Hi everyone! Our very own secretary and player Maddie Milton is currently collecting participants for her psychology thesis. The survey is about Emerging Adulthood and focuses on how you perceive this distinct time period, what you see as important in becoming an adult and also some relevant Covid-19 questions. ... You are eligible to complete this survey if you are aged between 18-30 and an Australian Resident. Thanks in advance, your contribution will help immensely! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Madeleine Milton, under the supervision of Dr Rob Teese, is currently conducting research as part of a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. I’d like to invite you to participate in this project. I am undertaking an investigation that looks at factors that influence the experiences of emerging adulthood. If you volunteer to participate, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire taking approximately 15-20 minutes, which can be done at a time convenient to you. After providing demographic information such as your age, gender, relationship status, and level of education, you will continue on to the main questionnaire. You will be asked questions assessing your attitudes towards what being an adult entails, and your own personal experiences on becoming an adult. We will not be collecting any identifying information, so if you choose to participate in this research your answers to any questions are strictly anonymous. If you are: -an Australian Citizen/permanent resident; -aged between 18-30 Please click on the link below for the survey. More participants will ensure that this study will be a success. If you know anyone that is eligible to complete this survey, please forward this link onto them! Thank you
13.01.2022 Presentation night update: Unfortunately we have been forced to cancel our Presentation night that was scheduled for April 5th. This decision comes after advice was received from Cricket Australia, the Ballarat council and other governing bodies. ... We are looking at ways to run the awards in a virtual way, such as a live stream. Stay tuned. As the COVID-19 pandemic worsens, please remember to practice social distancing. Just because cold like symptoms may not affect you, it can be lethal to those more vulnerable in our community and everyone can be a carrier. Look after one another.

07.01.2022 How lucky are we to have such amazing businesses jump onboard this year to sponsor our club. Without this support we would not have been able to achieve the things we want to and therefore we want to say a massive thank you! Thank you to New Age Hair, Newington Physiotherapy, Little Square's Garage, Stephen Tudor Electrical - STE, Bacchus Marsh District Massage Therapy, Belladaise Beauty, Ballarat Sheep Veterinary Services and DVS Personal Training
03.01.2022 Tonight the 2019/20 Cricket Victoria Womens Community Cricket awards were held digitally. We have had an absolute cracker of a season as a club already but how about these for some good stories in some testing times. We had our very own 14 year old opening batter (that’s right 14!) Lillee Barendsen win no less than 4 senior awards. How is that for an effort?... On top of that, our club couldn’t be where it is without strong leaders and our Vice Captain Summer Dehnert leads on the field and behind the stumps with the gloves. A deserved award winner as the North West A T20 keeper of the year. See all the awards below and get around our sublimely talented players. Everyone stay safe and keep an eye out for the good stories, they may seem few and far between at the moment but they are certainly there.
