16.01.2022 For more than 20 years jiujitsu has enriched my families lives I have had the privilege of meeting an extraordinary group of people. I would like to say thank you to each of you for your support & loyalty to my husband Jamie Ballard . It may be his name on the door but without your contributions & consistency we would not have had such success . It saddens me to be closing our doors . Thank you all for your chats and your friendships over the years I will treasure them all . Jamie Ballard is a outstanding coach his true calling I believe,always remember why you began your jiujitsu journey and keep on the path & continue your journey I am humbled to have met each and every one of you , thank you & I love you all Mel

14.01.2022 This has been one of the toughest weeks of my life I have decided to step away from being a full time Jiujitsu coach therefore Ballard's Academy will close on Thursday September 14th . This was a very tough decision but I know the right decision. I have devoted 24 years of my life to Jiujitsu and will always look back on my journey and consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity & to have helped so many people through Jiujitsu. I will always train Jiujitsu this wil...l not change but from now it will be more about my family who have been so supportive and always believed in me no matter what direction I was heading. Thank you to all my Jiujitsu brothers and sisters for your love ,support ,loyalty & commitment for so many years without you guys none of this would have been possible.I have met so many wonderful people & families over the years and I am honoured to have had the privilege of being able to be part of your lives.
