24.01.2022 Despite terrible weather, we welcomed many clients and friends to Ballatherie on Friday. Although the season is impacting everyone, there was spirited bidding, with 115 of the 120 auction rams selling to a top of $4,000 and an average of $1,659. Merrowie, Hillston, purchased the top priced ram, buying a total of 15. John McKeon, Hillston, bought the can assist ram for $2,250 which we donate to our local Can Assist Charity each year. Volume buyer of the day was the Thomas... family from Ivanhoe, taking home 48 rams. A further 59 grade rams were sold after the auction. 23.01.2022 Not the best week for shearing, bit on the warm side. Shearing team are doing a great job. Ewes are coming off the board quite well, cutting about 4kg for the 6 months.

19.01.2022 Last week we scanned all of our breeding ewes. Considering the season, we were pretty stoked that they scanned at 85%.

07.01.2022 Sorghum has been cut and bailed. The boys are very happy with the yield, approx 8 tonne to the hectare. If all goes to plan we should get another 3 cuts!
