25.01.2022 Just to let everyone know in the Ballidu community and surrounding areas that due to the Covid-19 virus, the Ballidu Fire and Emergency Services building has been closed to all public as of today. We ask that members of the public do not enter the building at any time and if you require any of the services in an emergency situation to please call 000, All BALLIDU VFES crew members are on call 24/7 and will remain so in any emergency situation. We have strict measures put in place in regards to cleaning, hygiene and the wearing of correct PPE at any incident. 23.01.2022 Time for a drill! Last night Ballidu VFES conducted a HAZMAT drill in the towns Chem shed. Was a good learning curve for our new members to understand what goes into a hazerdous materials incident. We would like to thank the business owners for letting us use their chem shed.

17.01.2022 We have been busy the last couple of days, On wednedsay morning we assisted Dalwallinu Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service with a single vehicle accident on the Great Northern Highway, this accident happened at Midnight. Then in the early hours of this morning, we assisted Wongan Hills Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service with a structure fire at the feed mill just south of town. Just goes to show we are on call 24/7, no matter what the emergency
16.01.2022 Good morning all, As you are all aware there is quite a servere storm headed our way this weekend with rain and damaging winds forcast up to 55km/hr. Please prepare your properties as much as you can for this wind. If you need assistance with any damage please either call the us via 000 or the SES on 13 25 00. Please check the BOM website or Emergency.wa.gov.au for further updates about the storm. Stay safe everyone
15.01.2022 Hi all, Please be carefull while on our roads in the next few days, After the biggest storm in years has hit us there are trees and debris all over our roads, some roads are even flooded. The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu are doing their best to clean up the mess but until then please drive to the conditions

12.01.2022 Hi all, due to the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus though our emergency services, the FES Commissioner has extended the restricted burning season for the Shire of Wongan- Ballidu until the 30th of April. If you require a fire permit for the month of April please contact myself or Steve Whyte. Saturday burning is still restricted in the Ballidu fire district unless requested with valid reason. 08.01.2022 Ballidu East Road and hourigan rd is open again but please be Careful as there is still a lot of debris on the road
03.01.2022 Ballidu East Road will be temporarily closed from Hourigan rd to Crask rd. There fallen are trees in that section. Wongan-Ballidu Shire are on there way out now to clear the road. Please stay safe and drive to the conditions we will let you know when the road is clear again.
