21.01.2022 Any willing photographers out there before we send our volunteer reminder out today? We’ve got a camera for you and we do the upload afterwards. All you need to do is be the person on the course everyone is smiling at.

20.01.2022 Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we'll be feeling that post parkrun high at this time on a Saturday morning.

19.01.2022 KEEP LEFT Please, please, please keep to the left and, when needed, single file. This is especially important at the start of our event. We need to be very aware that we run on a shared path. It’s holiday time and our local community has not had to share the paths with us since March so we need to be extra cautious and mindful of others as we enjoy Ballina together. ... We enjoy great support from our community and our council and we’d like to keep it that way by ensuring we do the right thing during our events. We thank you all for your willingness to add a couple of seconds to your parkrun time to make sure you and everyone you encounter stays safe. See more

17.01.2022 Thank you to all who continue to contribute their time to our event to ensure everyone can run each week. Every single person involved in our event is a volunteer and we love it when you show your appreciation by volunteering too. Pre event set up is a great way to start helping while still being able to run. 12.01.2022 Sharon is our Run Director this weekend as a perfect follow on from her 100th parkrun milestone last week. Volunteers please arrive at 6:35am, first timers briefing 6:45am, general briefing 6:50am. Ready to run at 7am. Please help us out by listening carefully to the briefing and following required protocols. Please also self-seed at the start line to minimise contact. We will have the volunteer board at the start/finish line. Have a chat to us about helping out in coming wee...ks. All jobs are super easy and really enjoyable. We really need your support through volunteering to ensure we can go ahead each week. Remember: Check in on or before arrival. Minimise your contact with other participants and our volunteers. No printed barcode = no time, but you’re still welcome to join us. Under 11’s must be within arms reach of a known adult. Dogs are welcome on a short lead. Please keep control of your dog for the safety of yourself and others. We run on a shared path so please KEEP LEFT, particularly at the start. Most importantly, parkrun is put on each week entirely by volunteers. A HUGE thank you to everyone who gives their time for our great event each week.

11.01.2022 Here’s another reason why we love us. Look at that roster - all organised for this week. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of opportunities to join in every week. In coming weeks we need: 20th March - all sorted 27th March - barcode scanner, photographer 3rd April - marshal (Shaws corner), 2 or 3 barcode scanners... 10th April - time keeper, pre event set up Let us know via this page or at [email protected] how you’d like to help. 05.01.2022 One of the NSW Government requirements for parkrun events to reopen is checking in. We will have several copies of our event QR code around for you to scan using the Service NSW app. People arriving together can check in on one device. You can print your own copy of this, or check in prior to arriving, to minimise close contact with others. You can also check in via the link prior to your arrival. https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/covid-safe-check-in

03.01.2022 UPDATE - We are good to go! MASSIVE thanks to Tyler (who'll find out soon, thanks Anne) and Wendy we are able to go ahead. Please do what these fantastic people have done and put your name on the roster whenever you are able so we can run without worry every single week. WE NEED YOUR HELP.... We've had a volunteer who can no longer make it this Saturday. We NEED one more marshal (Shaws corner) and one more barcode scanner for our event to go ahead on Saturday. Sadly, if we can't fill these 2 spots we can't go ahead as we won't meet the required safety guidelines. Both roles are very easy and backed up by our fantastic event team. Get in touch ASAP if you can volunteer. See more
