25.01.2022 After 10 years with the club, tonight was the finish to my family’s travels with little athletics. It’s been an amazing time, friends that have finished this year also, Kylie Glavocih, Karen Booth. Thanks for your friendships and help over the last few years. We welcome in a new generation to be lead by Briony Leonard our new president.

These would be fantastic for Age Managers or interested parents to complete in the lead up to our Little Athletics Workshops in 2021! 3 Ways You Can Learn From Home For Free Below are 3 free online course options that you can complete in your own time and in the comfort of your own home.... **Community Coaching General Principles course The Community Coaching General Principles course has been developed to assist coaches to learn the basic skills of coaching, particularly those coaches working with children. This course is a prerequisite for attendance at a Level 1 Community Athletics Coach course. Online Officiating Courses **Level 0 Introductory Officiating General Principles The course helps officials in all sports to learn the basic skills they will need to officiate effectively. It is not compulsory for Athletics Officials but is strongly recommended. **Level 1 Officials Courses This course is suitable for people who wish to help at their local centre, club or school. There is no practical assessment. There are 12 separate Level 1 courses, which cover the range of athletics disciplines. Candidates can attempt as many of the courses as they like. 10.01.2022 LANSW have opened registrations.for The State Combined Events Carnival. It will be held at Beaton Park, Wollongong on Saturday and Sunday, 6 & 7 March 2021. Note that this is a different event to the State Championships Athletes in the U15's will be eligible to be selected in the NSW team for the 2021 Australian Little Athletics Championships scheduled for April 2021.... Entries will close on Wednesday, 10 February 2021, at the cost of $25 per athlete entry. No late entries will be accepted. Entries will be capped to ensure this event can be run within the requirements of the Public Health Order. If you want more information about participating please send through a message or email.

09.01.2022 Hi to all, yes we are still going ahead with the start of our season tonight. It will only be the rules regarding lightning if a storm develops. The drainage works that were supposed to be done in February are now to commence soon. So the tracks have been marked on the small fields. Just something else we have to work with this year.

04.01.2022 We should be right to start back this Wednesday the only thing would be if it is raining and council is unable to mark the tracks. We will need people to assist with the running of events, I will be the dedicated COVID marshal so probably won’t be able to do the race starts. We need age managers for all groups. Please reply comment with the age you would like to assist with. As we don’t have a particular single entry point, there will be multiple QR codes placed around on p...oles. You will need to register your attendance using this code. Please remember to sign out at the completion of events. The next big issue is the AGM. We need to fill almost all committee positions for the season to continue. The previous committee have put everything in place to get the ball rolling for this season to commence but most won’t be attending anymore. We are now able to hold it in person so will hold it at the clubhouse so it will be on the 4th November at 6.30, after the completion of events.
