16.01.2022 We would love to say a big thank you to everyone that came along to the Art As Catharsis Spring Showcase: Brisbane on Saturday night and showed their support for independent Australian music and helped us make Scotty's last gig a special night. We also wanna thank new drummer Matt Mallardi and Brissy legend James Lees for getting up on the additional percussion for the end of "Prodromal"; Art As Catharsis for having us on the bill and making sure events like this continue to ...showcase progressive and experimental music; Joseph Rabjohns and Benjamin Shannon for organising the event; The Foundry Brisbane for being such great hosts and providing amazing sound; and lastly Last Lakes, Deaf Mountain, HRBRT, HELU and Hashshashin for their performances. This is us for the year but we do promise that we'll see you all again soon. Much love from Christian, Scott and Karl.

16.01.2022 As some of you may already know, drummer extraordinaire Scott Davey will be leaving BKB at the end of the year to make a big sea change as he and his lovely wife Pauline move to M’Pai Bay on Koh Rong Samloen Island in Cambodia. Whilst Christian and I are sad to see the guy go, we are supportive of this decision and excited to see the dude take a massive leap into the unknown. Not only has Scott been a great band mate and collaborator, he's been a great friend to us through bo...th good times and bad. Scott's incredible playing, years of experience and no-nonsense attitude has helped elevate this band as musicians and songwriters. We're very grateful to have had the chance to learn some invaluable lessons from the man, they will stay with us as we go forward. Scott may be leaving some considerable shoes to fill, but we believe that new drummer Matt Mallardi is more than capable of filling them. This guy lives, eats and breathes drums and his enthusiasm for music is infectious and heart-warming. We're looking forward to seeing what Matt can bring to the next chapter of BKB and you can expect to see the dude make a cameo appearance this Saturday night. So let's send Scotty off in style. His last gig with us is at the Art As Catharsis Spring Showcase: Brisbane on Saturday night at The Foundry Brisbane. It would be amazing for Scott to see as many of your lovely faces one last time before he leaves us. Much love, Karl O'Shea EVENT PAGE & FURTHER DETAILS: https://www.facebook.com/events/1385234758296860/ /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// #brisbanegigs #brisgigs #brisbanelivemusic #brisbanelivemusicscene #progrock #progmetal #postrock #postmetal #instrumentalrock #instrumentalmetal #experimentalrock #experimentalmetal #avantgardemusic #dronemusic #ambientmusic #sludgemetal #doommetal #jazzrock #drummer #drumming #seachange

12.01.2022 "This talented band is making a name for themselves and going by the fan base here tonight, there is more to come." Thank you to Cherie Smith from Metal-Roos for the kind words and Just Ignore the Camera photography for the happy snaps from Circles - Brisbane | The 'Winter' Tour on Friday night.

12.01.2022 For those who missed last Saturday night, our friend Carmel Hedger from Ruby Rose Photography & Entertainment was lovely enough to take some footage of "Prodromal" featuring new drummer Matt Mallardi and Brisbane legend James Lees on additional percussion. Thanks again to Art As Catharsis, Joseph Rabjohns, Benjamin Shanoon, Hashshashin, HRBRT, HELU, Last Lakes, Deaf Mountain, The Foundry Brisbane and everyone who stuck around for helping us give Scott a special last gig with us.

06.01.2022 Bassist Karl O'Shea - Musician will be switching genres and instruments next Friday night as one half of Daylight Ghosts to deliver some melancholic folk from his living room courtesy of Live On Mars.
