23.01.2022 SUMMER COMP REGO OPEN Registrations are now open for the 2020 Summer Competition. Dates: 13 October to 1 December (Tuesday nights)... Time: TBA Cost: $50 for players currently registered with the club/association or $125 for new players Location: Cintra Park Registration closes at 12pm on Monday, 28 September. Unfortunately no late regos can be accepted. Note: players will be required to participate in a roster set up by the Association to help with running the comp. 22.01.2022 In any other year, today would be the start of the annual pilgrimage to Queensland for NetFest. But this isn’t any other year, it’s 2020 (). So although there will be no #wolviesontour this year, and no opportunity to defend our title or play in hot/cold/humid/stormy/windy weather, or dress up for the NetFest party, or win dance competitions while enjoying a ‘few’ bottles of bubbles along the way, here are some snapshots from years gone by. 20.01.2022 PLAYING DRESSES NEEDED Calling all past and current players who have a spare playing dress lying around. The Coronavirus outbreak has meant that shipping of our dress order is delayed and may not reach us in time for Round 1 (or 2). We have some new ones in storage but if anyone has a spare dress we could borrow for the first couple of rounds we would truly appreciate it. ... Sizes in need are 14, 16, 18 & 20 and those without Dicks written on the back would be ideal, but really, well take anything! If you can help, please email the club at [email protected] . We promise to return them washed and dried afterwards. Thank you!

18.01.2022 ~GRADING DAY~ A reminder that grading is on this Sunday (9 February) from 11am to 1pm at Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness. All new players, anyone wishing to play A Grade or be re-graded are required to attend. There is paid parking available on-site and a mix of paid and free in surrounding streets. If you cant find us on arrival, please ask the Reception staff. The courts are indoors so itll be on regardless of weather . See you Sunday!

Instead, were self-isolating, social distancing and doing whatever else we can to help stop the spread of this crappy virus. 09.01.2022 After much deliberation, the Executive has decided that should we get to play this season, then it should be all about fun, not competition. A new system Play Your Own Position has been devised and will be implemented from Round 1 that involves allowing players to take the court in whichever position they like. All those defenders out there who think theyre shooters and shorty midcourters who think they can cut it in the circle, well, nows your time to shine! Any argumen...ts are resolved by a toss up and whoever ends up with the C bib is Captain for the game. We hope youll embrace this new approach, the Exec thinks its a top idea. 08.01.2022 REGISTRATION & GRADING Just a heads-up, registration will open in early January for all returning and future Wolverines. The exact opening and closing dates will be announced ASAP. Grading Day is Sunday, 9 February at Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness. New players, those wishing to play A grade and anyone wanting to be re-graded are required to attend. 06.01.2022 As a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic and recent public health and government recommendations, Inner Western Suburbs Netball Association has decided to delay the commencement of the 2020 winter season. Round 1 will now be played on 2 MAY 2020 (instead of 28 March). While this is disappointing, with over 7,000 people passing through Cintra Park on game days and the safety of the netball community paramount, this is a necessary decision. Club training will be subject to ongoing review and all players will be kept informed as the situation evolves. In the meantime, please contact the Executive if you have any questions.

05.01.2022 In regards to the media release today from NSW Health that spectator numbers at community sporting events have been increased for this weekend. THIS DOES NOT AP...PLY TO OUR IWSNA NETBALL COMPETITION FOR ALL AGE GROUPS PLAYING ON THE ASPHALT COURTS. Wondering why it doesn't apply to IWSNA finals?? IWSNA received a special exemption from NSW Health in July 2020, to be able to run our competition in full by allowing us to have multiple sections of 500 people at each timeslot. We are already at the maximum 500 capacity allowed for each section, at each timeslot on the asphalt courts, and have been informed by NSW Health that we MUST NOT go over the 500 capacity limit. How does today's NSW Health announcement affect the final day of our Winter competition, this Saturday?? > There will be NO change to the game times or Entry/Exit times > There will be NO change to the court sections >There will be NO change to the number of spectators allowed per team, per game on the Asphalt courts > The number of spectators on the Modified Grass courts ONLY, can increase by 2 people per team (new total 20 per team, per grass-court ONLY) > No other changes will occur and compliance with our Safety Plan is required on our last day of Winter competition Please contact your club directly if you are unsure about any rules that will apply to Finals day.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to our three Premiership winning teams: Viper (A3)and Storm (B4) and Grand Finalist Sabretooth (B3)! Top effort, ladies. The club finished strongly overall, with top 3 placings in A1 and A2 and 4th-6th spots in C4, B3 and A4. We may be a small club, but we are mighty.
