17.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE An Important Message from Balmoral Community Store In response to the Covid-19 threat, Balmoral Community Store finds itself in a position to provide continued service in a unique format which will assist in keeping our community members safe. ... Customers to the store now have restricted access, with staff taking orders and retrieving products to the counter. This ensures that there is a reduced threat of contamination of stock and store surfaces to both our store staff and the public. Many of you will probably be asking why this is necessary given that the major supermarkets haven’t implemented a similar policy. Our response to that is that they don’t have the capacity to implement a workable system to restrict customer access. The staff have implemented a strict roster of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces such as bench tops, the ATM and any areas which are subject to infection by contact. The Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre has procured a hand sanitising station for use by customers before they enter the store. Please remember that there are vulnerable members of our community who are relying on everybody doing their best to minimise the impact of this very serious threat. In addition, we are asking customers, where possible, to place grocery orders by phoning 55 701 333, so that staff can prepare them and you can pick them up at your leisure. The store can now process card payments over the phone, should you wish to arrange someone to collect your purchases. In conjunction with Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre, there will be some limited delivery options available for those in need of this service. Please enquire at Balmoral Community Store if you wish to avail of this service. Our staff will make the necessary arrangements with BBNC. Our response to this issue has been implemented following discussions with Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre staff, who are best placed to instruct local businesses on what is the most appropriate action. We thank BBNC staff for their tireless efforts in assisting our community at this time. Hopefully, the proactive stance taken by our community means that all our customers and community members remain safe and well. Please note that we are continually addressing our short supply and are hoping to have a full range of products available shortly. We thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding.
