24.01.2022 The Beaconfield Partners Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour is not far away. If you haven't already got your entries in you only have a few days to act. "Where do I need to go on Saturday 29th?" I hear you ask...... The action kicks off early Saturday 29th at the Ipswich Cycle Park (U9 - U17s and Women). ... Following the completion of the ITT's and U9-U13 Road Race at Ipswich the U15, U17 and Women will head out to Mt Marrow for their Road Races. U9-U13 can go home and rest or head out to Mt Marrow to watch the action. Full program with times will be published in the coming weeks.

10.01.2022 The Rich Pour Espresso Bar will be onsite at Ipswich tomorrow serving around 7:15am and Sunday at Murrarie serving around 9am! Eftpos and Cash accepted. Coffees, Cookies, Smoothies and then some. Also available will be the famous Balmoral CC BBQ with unbeatable bacon and egg muffins. Sandwiches and soft drinks will also be available at Mt Marrow.

08.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL RIDERS: ROLL OUT - All Juniors need to comply with Cycling Australia technical regulations, including gear restrictions: U9, U11 & U13: 5.5m... U15: 6m U17: 7m Rollout checks will be conducted throughout the Tour, at times advised by Commissaires. KIT REGULATION - all competing cyclists must wear approved kit (no marketing unless otherwise approved). SIGNING IN FOR EACH EVENT - each competitor must sign in before EACH event over the weekend. Sign in sheets will be at all locations at registration tables. BIKE WEIGHT - The Mt Gravatt Hill Climb is a major feature of the Balmoral Junior & Women’s Tour, with the opportunity to set age group records. As per all our junior racing, all Cycling Australia technical rules must be complied with at all times. To ensure the integrity of records, and to prepare athletes for state & national level competition, riders should be aware that our race Commissaires may weigh the bikes of any u15 and u17 riders to ensure compliance with the 6.8kg minimum weight limit. Please contact us if you have any questions in relation to the above requirements.

07.01.2022 MT GRAVATT GUIDELINES: Road closure will be enforced from 6.00-9.00am Parking will be available in Tenby and Gosford Streets.... Please be as quiet as possible out of respect for residents and their future acceptance of our event. There will be no yelling out for late riders: it is your responsibility to be at the start line. Limited parking will be available at the top of Mt Gravatt, accessible only prior 6.00am. Following this time, Mt Gravatt is to be walked either up fire trails or road, being mindful of passing cyclists. Warm gear that you wish to be taken up the mountain, by our motorbike, must be bagged and labelled and dropped at rego desk by 6.30am. A limited number of cars will remain at the base of Mt Gravatt to drive U9 and U11 riders to their start line. No other vehicles will be allowed up while the road closure is in place. The descent will occur after presentations, just before 9.00am with chaperones riding down with the younger juniors. Please ensure that there is NO DRAFTING OF THE LEAD CAR. Please support The LoveWell Project cafe at the top of Mt Gravatt by getting yourself a coffee and breakfast. LoveWell are opening their doors specifically for the BJWT.
