25.01.2022 THE SEASON IS FINALLY HERE... After a long wait through the COVID-19 pandemic, we will finally be getting back out onto the field tomorrow for our first match of season 2020/21. Best of luck to the team this season.... GO BALMORAL!!!

25.01.2022 Hello Balmoral Community, Hope you are all staying safe and well during these tough times. We are all itching to get back to playing cricket after a long and grueling time in lockdown however current COVID-19 restrictions have forced a delayed start to the 2020/21 season. The NWMCA have recently released their Return to Play Guidelines and are planning to start the season on 14 November, providing the current Victorian Government roadmap out of lockdown stays on track. Whist... this would mean a limited pre-season, we are certainly excited by the light at the end of the tunnel. In the meantime, continue to stay safe and follow the Victorian Government COVID-19 health guidelines. We will be back out on the field before you know it.

Balmoral: 128 & 100 We fought all the way to the very end and were 2 wickets away from a reverse outright win but unfortunately our season has come to a end as a result of a first innings loss. Balmoral: 0/10 Yet another match washed out on the second day of play and yet again another draw. With one round to go in the regular season, only percentage separates us from the top 4 and next match is a must win for us to make finals. The highlight from this match was the brilliant bowling performance of Chintan Panara (pictured below) who came out firing after the tea break to notch up figures of 6/48 from 16.2 overs. Very well deserved

Aberfeldie St Johns: 159 Only 14 overs was bowled on the second day of play before rain settled in and forcing both teams to share the points. 01.01.2022 MATCH RESULTS NWMCA Athol Attwater Shield - Round 9 (2-day match) Balmoral: 5/268... Haig Fawkner: 263 What a way to bring up our third win in a row! Outstanding team effort made all the more impressive by some stunning individual performances. First mention goes to William Patmore for bringing up his first career century by batting the whole of the second day to make an unbelievable 154 not out. Credit for this performance also goes to Tom Rutherford (55 n.o) for teaming up with William to produce a memorable 183-run partnership to get the team over the line. On the bowling front, Joel Matthews proved again why he is the club’s number one bowler by notching up amazing figures of 6/70 from 25 overs on the first week of play. The club now goes on Christmas/New Year break with the next match on 11 January.
