24.01.2022 Covid-19 Update from parkrun Australia https://blog.parkrun.com//parkrun-australia-covid-19-coro/

23.01.2022 Latest COVID-19 update from parkrun HQ

23.01.2022 Latest update from HQ. Currently no parkrun until the end of May, at the earliest.

22.01.2022 Today we go back in time exactly 5 years to the day to Event#155, which was held on 18th July 2015. There's no particular reason for choosing this event other than it's been 5 years. Enjoy the reminiscing. Results for this event can be found at: https://www.parkrun.com.au/balyangsanctua//weeklyresults/... Have a great week everyone and stay safe.

21.01.2022 It's been a few weeks since we visited the archive and as we would have been celebrating our 8th Birthday this weekend we decided to visit our 3rd birthday in 2015. Enjoy the memories :-)

19.01.2022 Latest Covid-19 update from parkrun HQ. Although there are positive signs around the world with the some easing of restrictions we have to confirm that parkrun will not be running again at least until the end of June, maybe longer. Keep the faith everyone and stay safe.

16.01.2022 Our delve into the archives this week takes us back to Event #183 on 23rd January 2016 where our current female event record was achieved by Amy Carrig in a time of 17:21. It's a record that has now lasted over 4 years!

15.01.2022 Happy New Year parkrunners. Our permit with CCMA is currently being processed and providing that it is processed without any issues and that there are no changes to Covid Restrictions that could impact on parkrun taking place, then as stated previously we will be restarting on 16th January, which is in 15 days time!!!!!!! We will be rolling out details of how we plan to run a Covid-safe event between now and the 16th but in the first place, we are going to need volunteers. ... As you can see we will require a greater number of barcode scanners than we previously used to have, and they must use their own phone with the parkrun volunteer app installed on it. We need more barcode scanners so that we minimise the time people are gathering together while waiting to have their place token and barcode scanned. So if you want to ease your way back into parkrun with a volunteering stint please contact us either by responding to this post below, or sending a message to us via Messenger or send an email to [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you! #freeweeklytimed

15.01.2022 Save the Date! 16th January 2021 we plan to be back up and running, strolling and walking (providing we get all the paperwork in place!). We'll update you as and when we get more information on how we will run this as a Covid-Safe event. Best Christmas present this year perhaps? :-)... Stay Safe Everyone. https://blog.parkrun.com//parkrun-australia-covid-19-coro/

14.01.2022 Merry Christmas to you all. Please enjoy this little gem as we prepare for our restart in theNew Year https://youtu.be/KLoxE0p_FVI

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone. As you are hopefully aware parkrun HQ have suspended all parkrun events globally, at least until the end of April. While you might be looking for something to do on a Saturday to fill the void, it is important that we respect the requirements regarding public gatherings, maintaining social distance and minimising risk. With that in mind, could we ask that you avoid going for a Freedom parkrun at Balyang Sanctuary each Saturday at 8am, until we are are given the go ahead to restart our parkrun event please?

13.01.2022 While we wait for our parkrun to return to its 8am Saturday slot, here's an album from the archives going back to where it all started at Balyang Sanctuary in August 2012. If you have any memories of this event please leave comments, it would be good to hear what people remember of it. There were 67 participants that day and the results are available at: https://www.parkrun.com.au/balyangsanctua//weeklyresults/... We'll be highlighting a number of our parkrun events from since 2012 over the coming weeks, but if there's one that is special to you please drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll see what we can find.

13.01.2022 9th June parkrun HQ update on Covid-19 situation. Stay safe everyone

12.01.2022 Update from parkrun HQ on Covid-19 and parkrun

12.01.2022 Our visit to the archives this week takes us back to the first Christmas Day event run at our parkrun. Records show that we didn't parkrun on Christmas Day 2012 but we did in 2013, so if you're missing the sunshine and warmth, get a dose of Christmas nostalgia, parkrun 2013 style right here! That day we had 49 parkrunners and somehow got by with only three volunteers!... Were you there? Do you remember how it was to do your first Christmas Day parkrun? Results can be found at: https://www.parkrun.com.au/balyangsanctua//weeklyresults/

10.01.2022 While we wait for the return of our free, weekly timed 5km at 8am each Saturday, here’s details of how to keep in shape for the return.

10.01.2022 Our dip into the archives takes us, as requested, to 1st June 2013 when we were visited en masse by a bunch of the Five30 Runners from NSW. We had 62 parkrunners that day and the results from this event can be found at: https://www.parkrun.com.au/balyangsanctua//weeklyresults/ Next week, we'll be looking at the early Christmas events.....

06.01.2022 Latest Covid-19 update from parkrun HQ. Stay safe everyone

06.01.2022 This week's archive post takes us back to Event #190 on 12th March 2016. We've chosen this event because we had two records that day: * Male record by Stephen SCULLION an amazing 14:32 * Age graded record by Lavinia PETRIE - an astonishing 101.47% in 22:41 ... An amazing day for records to be sure https://www.facebook.com/pg/balyangsanctuaryparkrun/photos/?tab=album&album_id=959142210838355 The results for this event can be found at: https://www.parkrun.com.au/balyangsanctua//weeklyresults/

06.01.2022 Hi everyone. We have been told that local radio has been saying that Balyang Sanctuary parkrun is starting up again tomorrow. This is most definitely not the case. ... As soon as we do have a date for restarting we can assure you we will let you know.

05.01.2022 parkrun events will continue to be suspended until at least the end of April This is to keep all parkrun countries following the same timeline, but we expect ...suspensions to go beyond April We will get through this, together More http://parkrun.me/covid19 #loveparkrun
