It has been a long journey to get to where we are today- but we are SO excited to be bringing this incredible preschool service back to life! We have missed the children so much and we can’t wait to see the other side of this journey and to watch Bambi Kindergarten be reborn again! ... We are currently operating in Varroville (near St Andrews) on Mondays and Tuesdays, and are looking for Cert III, Diploma, ECT and "working towards" educators. A range of ongoing casual engagement, and/or temporary positions are available for the right applicants. A phone call was received from the Department of Education last week, they have informed us they will now be proceeding with a site visit to our venues. ... This process can take up to 6 weeks, we are sorry for the delay however, this is completely out of our control. We appreciate your patience and loyalty to Bambi. 11.01.2022 A few reminders for returning and new families. Monday 29th January is a Pupil Free Day (fees are not payable on this day). Preschool will resume on Tuesday 30th January. Each child has been given a stager starting time, please remember to come at this time to ensure your child has an opportunity to settle into their room with their teachers.... From 2018, Bambi has introduced 'Story Park' this is an online networking tool to enable the preschool to share your child's portfolio with you, share a day book each week and share other important announcements. It is important if you have not already accepted the story park invitation and consent form (available within your email, please check you JUNK folders). that you do to ensure you don't miss out on any important announcements or information regarding your child's development at preschool. For new families whose child has received a vaccination over the holiday break, please remember to send a copy of there updated immunisation history statement to [email protected] if we have not received your child's up-to-date immunisation statement they will be ineligible to commence. 10.01.2022 Good Morning Bambi Community, It is with great pleasure I am happy to announce Bambi has received documentation from the Salvation Army at Macquarie Fields approving a 10 year lease. In addition we have also been given the opportunity to extend this 10 year lease by a further 5 years (totalling 15 years) if we wish. ... Bambi's biggest hurdle now will be raising the funds to build a 2 unit classroom and make renovations to an existing part of the building (if you know of any bathroom companies, painters, carpenters etc we would love to hear from them for the internal works to the existing building). Whilst Bambi has fundraised for over 25 years to save funds just for this reason, we only have approx. a quarter of the building and renovation costs required to complete this mammoth project. Every dollar matters! We are asking for monetary donations and are in the process of approaching large businesses for help and applying for funding grants. We are awaiting approval from the Department of Education on the above venues. ... - Parents will receive an Expression of interest this week or next, to ask you for your preference of days/locations. - Once approvals have been received (hopefully not too far away), you will receive a email/phonecall from staff - At the moment we are downsizing our equipment and resources in preparation for mobile preschool. 06.01.2022 Dear Bambi Supporters It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Bambi’s lease at 1 Arthur Allen Drive, Bardia will come to an end on 29th April 2019. Bambi will be closing its doors to the community as we have yet to secure a temporary facility or build a new preschool at this point in time. ... Bambi will continue to endeavour to reopen again and is currently working with the Salvation Army in Macquarie Fields to make this happen. In Feb 2019, Bambi were notified of a successful grant application with the Department of Education. This grant provides Bambi with the funds to build purpose built classrooms at the Macquarie Fields site. Bambi is currently working to lodge a DA with council for the Macquarie Fields site. Bambi’s Annual General Meeting will be held next Tuesday 26th February at 6pm. Community members are encouraged to attend and obtain an update on Bambi’s future. Please note: An expression of interest form does not secure your child's place at Bambi Kindergarten. Rather it will allow Management to further plan positions, moving forward. 04.01.2022 Feel free to share on this post, what your children have been up to this week :) Bambi Kindergarten have been busy this week, and have; - Spent time practicing our shape recognition, using colours, music, and carpet shapes as our aids. - Focused on learning about important roles in the macro (BIG) community, and reflected how our family and friends play important roles in our micro (small) communities.... - Further explored our interest in modes of transportation, as facilitated in different aspects of the program, and extended with role playing construction working, reflecting the workers who are nearby with their real big digger. We look forward to seeing what's in store for next week, as well as catching up on what you've been up to so far!
