21.01.2022 Hello Families, Just a quick note to touch base and let you know our incredible staff are currently busy within the centre preparing for our National Quality Standard Assessment and Rating. Our Assessment dates are Monday 9th November until Monday 7th Dec 2020. What this means? This is a process where the Department of Education will visit our centre for one day and look over our programs, practices and Center Environment. They will visit the studios, observe interactions and... record and assess our rating of service against the National Quality Standards. We are very proud of our centre and are excited to put our best foot forward in reflecting what a terrific job our Educators do each and everyday. This assessment will drive our quality with continuous improvement and keep information for you, our families and communities accurate and up to date. The staff here at Reedy Creek are all so passionate about making a difference in children's lives, we are strong and confident in what we do and the Team is all coming together that extra mile to prove this so when possible if you have 5 minutes in your day let your educators know or add a comment below on why they are important and what they mean to you, I know this will build energy and be very valued during this time! If you have any questions surrounding the Assessment process please speak to any of the staff who will be happy to address any concerns or queries. Thank you and have a great week! See more

17.01.2022 Our Reedy Creek Philosophy Hi Families, Last month we updated our Centre Philosophy to represent our centre holistically, to reflect our ideals, standards and beliefs here at Reedy Creek. We would love to take the opportunity to ask for you all to add your thoughts, and beliefs to the comments below to ensure we are addressing each of our families expectations, values and practices with your little ones and in reflection build strong and open family communication where we wor...k together in partnership. Thank you for your precious time and care! Reedy Creek’s Philosophy We actively aspire our children to explore a holistic approach towards learning by nurturing their sense of wonder. Our Team is motivated and passionate. We show thankfulness to the Yugambeh people for the land in which we learn, this combined allows us to deliver quality practices, that respect our environment. We believe children first want to feel they are loved, important and unique. We provide a learning environment that is safe, secure, happy and allows a child’s ability to connect positively to themselves, others and their community through caring, guidance, respectful co-operation, sharing, calmness and patience. Through these supportive boundaries children then feel confident to take risks, discover, build relationships and independence, and learn through their play. We build strong supportive relationships with our families where we value their fundamental input to our program that incorporates cultural diversity, beliefs and values. This response strengthens our community and helps us work alongside them and with the needs of their child.

15.01.2022 Our Educators are the best- as I watched on from indoors today, I stopped for a moment and pondered...feeling humbled & proud about our beautiful good humoured and authentic educatorsDepending on the culture of the adults in children’s worlds, children learn different skills through play. Exploring physical attributes, children gain an understanding of measurement, sizing & patterns. Children explore balance, distance & weight in many areas of play without even realising. PS: we got lots of new resources and there still coming. #educators #exploringplay #proud
15.01.2022 The busy season is coming! Book your casual days in advance up until the end of January 2021. Book via the KindyNow app, or in-centre.

13.01.2022 Culture We are passionate about culture, we love to learn the knowledge behind all cultures! This one in particular this past NAIDOC week has made me feel wholesome...our staff were able to go out today and meet up with our Yugumbeh people and sit and have a yarn about many things. We look forward in sharing our culture right here in our back yards & to pass on the knowledge to our little humans about the land we live upon Here at Bambini we don’t do an Acknowledgement to country- as we are lucky enough to have a traditional owner to say Welcome to country (Miss Alecia) #culture #Aboriginal #dancers #welcometocountry Existing families-see Storypark for videos of children joining in events that happened around our centre last week
11.01.2022 Miss Soni has been taking our littlies on an adventure through songs for a while now...she is a precious gem who the children really love communicating with on another level of language Learning a second language not only provides the benefits of being more competitive in a global economy, but research shows that learning Spanish also improves reading, vocabulary and comprehension in English. In addition, learning Spanish has been shown to improve math abilities. Learning a second language is amazingly stimulating for the brain and may help a childs development in many social and academic areas. Thank you so much for sharing your culture with us Miss Soni
11.01.2022 What a great book week dress up...we are super impressed by the costumes that were put together. 06.01.2022 Fine motor skill In our Stradbroke Studio (up to 15mths) significantly influences the quality of the task outcome. Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul (Friedrich Froebel). #finemotor #messyplay #development
05.01.2022 Hi Families, Some of you may already be familiar with the new displays and information being provided to you in our Centre Reception area. As a team we have been working closely at refreshing and updating this space to reflect us all as a team as best we can. One of these displays are our new QIP board.A Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is a document that identifies the service's goals for quality improvement and notes some strategies for achieving those goals. The aim of a QIP... is to help providers self-assess their performance in delivering quality education and care, and to plan future improvements. The QIP also helps regulatory authorities with assessing the quality of the service. Within Early Childhood we have 7 Quality Areas to show our excellence, and again we need YOUR help. We are calling all mothers, fathers, grandparents and caregivers to work alongside us in meeting all these areas and give your feedback. We have provided 7 clipboards for you to show your thoughts and contributions and are excited to see where this strong partnership could take us in meeting the needs and interest of your little ones! OUR HEALTHY HABITS We are also in a unique position to support children's development and growth, and to promote good eating habits, because of this we at Reedy Creek have established another key element to work alongside families surrounding Healthy Eating. We are now excited for Miss Tash, our center chef to take on a more hands on approach with the children and with you the families. She will continue to display the current menu in this space and we are also now providing a clip board for your ideas, recipes and children's favourite meals or snacks. Miss Tash will also be visiting the studios more frequently to have conversations with the children surrounding healthy eating and will now have weekly visits to the Yamba and Kimberly's Studio where they will regularly cook meals together, discuss Healthy Eating and all subjects surround foods. All new and exciting movements, we look forward to any and all family input! Thank you, from the Team at Reedy Creek.

This has been a tough year for many......so I would like to say an extra special THANKYOU to all of our Educators, for their huge part in keeping our little Bambini family safe, comfortable & happy. As much as things weigh heavy on our minds and hearts sometimes, these ladies have brought a SMILE each an everyday
04.01.2022 We had a lovely staff meeting tonight, where we came together to learn about Indigenous culture, valuing and celebrating it in our mainstream society is one way we can begin to address the challenges we see today. As we learn about Indigenous culture, we can begin to relate to each other better, recognise the cultural history of this land and value the ongoing, rich cultural legacy of this place we call home. Asking the community to help us share in our beautiful history and the story behind all of our Room studio names, has been a meaningful journey. One in which we will share with our completed art display coming shortly. When the community comes together! We can Learn! We can then share knowledge! #community #weareone
