At Bamboo Spirit we use granulated herbs, a convenient modern-day alternative to boiling raw herbs. Granulated herbal formulas can be fully modified and adapted to meet the specific health care needs of each person and require minimal preparation. Just add boiling ...water and drink, similar to making an instant coffee. One of our many points of difference is our state-of-the-art capsule making facility which allows us to make the granules into capsules which are even more convenient to take, and have the added advantage of having no taste.

11.01.2022 How often do you put other people ahead of your own needs? A few years ago following an extremely stressful period in my life I developed excruciating hip pain. While familiar with the usual minor aches and pains of life I was completely unaccustomed to severe chronic pain. This was quite shocking for me. I saw acupuncturists, herbalists, chiropractors, osteopaths and yoga teachers in an attempt to return to my body to balance. ... As I began to heal and emerged from the stress of carrying this injury I was struck by the realisation that during that period I had almost completely ignored my own health to put other people’s needs ahead of my own. I was reacquainted with an old yet familiar pattern. I had stepped away from my health. I made an inner resolve to never put another person’s health before my own. 07.01.2022 We've become conditioned to expect fast results.. Our experience is that Western consumers are often content with dramatic short term improvement in their heath yet less focused on the need to address the underlying causes that predisposed them to illness in the first place. This is known as symptom management as is synonymous with how medical services in the West are delivered. Chinese Medicine is very different compared to Western Medicine. It usually takes a little longe...r to dramatically and sustainably enhance health and longevity using Chinese Medicine, especially if you have been unwell for some time. We prefer to avoid this symptomatic treatment approach to health and work with a longer term, prevention-based approach. Chinese herbal medicine is the mainstay of our longer term maintenance treatment programs. We have adapted our service to use a combination of over-the-phone, email or Skype consultation with clinic visitation as needed once your primary symptoms have resolved. Up to a month of Chinese herbal medicine can be supplied on repeat script using this method. To keep treatment affordable we don’t charge a consultation fee for this service although a 10% dispensing fee applies to all ‘takeaway’ herb products. Herbs can either be collected in person from the clinic or sent by Express Post for next business day delivery. From time-to-time clients may need to visit the clinic for a case review.
