21.01.2022 Today is Human Rights Day, a day the United Nations set out in 1948 to address issues of inequality, exclusion and discrimination, and to advocate for global solidarity and shared humanity. While the events of this year have highlighted the goodness of human spirit, they have also shed a terrible light on innumerable people who have been pushed to the brink. Inequality, poverty and discrimination have deepened globally, and marginalised groups have been greater effected by th...e pandemic. Economic and cultural rights have been discounted and there is a widening gap among communities that must be addressed. Bambuddha Group stands with First Nations peoples and all people of colour, queer, trans & non-binary people, disabled people, people incarcerated, sex workers, those living in poverty, those experiencing homelessness and all minorities. We pledge to continue to uphold and uplift marginalised voices and commit to reducing inequalities through the work we do.
