19.01.2022 In creating the MIFGS Welcome Garden by Phillip Withers Landscape Design, visual inspiration was drawn from the beautiful terraced rice paddies in South East Asia. As the garden name suggests, the 2018 Welcome Garden was an inviting multi-level and multi-sensory experience, celebrating the notion of story-telling at its core. Large slabs of Victorian bluestone from Bamstone were stacked like a sculptural staircase throughout the garden. Additionally, predominately Australian... plants were used throughout the space, such as Australian white cedar, bronze-tipped and smooth leaved quandong and a collection of grass trees. Phil claims that it was his teams ambiton to design a space that utilised materials and plants that work and tell a story of Melbourne and Australia. We’ve been invited to create the inaugural ...#MIFGSWelcomeGarden, a biodiverse habitat that will greet you as you enter the Carlton Gardens. Here, you’ll be able to get information about the show or find a space to sit and relax. The garden will also feature a stage from which MIFGS talks and tours will be presented. In creating our concept for this garden we were inspired by our travels to South East Asia and the beauty of terraced rice paddies (source: @thierrybornier). 15.01.2022 Approximately 40% of Bamstone’s Factory will now be supplied by Green Energy after recent instalment of over 100 Kilo watts of solar panels on the Factory’s roof space. The installation is just one aspect of the company’s three stage Green Energy program commitment. Stage one and two involved the installation of LED lighting and power correction units throughout the stone cutting facility. During stage three, Bamstone reached out to local energy system supplier Middy’s Elec...trical to achieve their goal and commitment to lowering their carbon footprint and reducing costs in energy. The installation of the solar Green Energy panels marks an exciting new era of innovation for Bamstone. It’s a project that we are really proud of and hope that other local and regional businesses will be inspired by our adoption of sustainable energy. The solar panel installation was offically unveiled by the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau, at the Bamstone Factory.

08.01.2022 Bamstone was selected as the core supplier of quality Bluestone paving for the Warrnambool City Centre Renewal project. Split across two phases, the project aims to re-establish Liebig Street and the city's centre as a vibrant and aesthetically attractive place to shop. During phase one, each bluestone paver was installed with expert precision and attention to detail. The city's main street is now accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, regardless of age or level of mobility.
