The 'Road Lookup' feature allows users to enter a road name (using a Google Maps search) which provides the relevant road owner and contact details. This feature is valuable when people are trying to identify if Council or Main Roads are responsible for a road that maybe damaged or closed.... 08.01.2022 The construction of a new shed at the Baralaba Showgrounds is just one project that will proceed in the Banana Shire courtesy of funding from the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund. A total of 15 Banana Shire community groups shared in over $390,000 in funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Shannon Fentiman said the grants were fantastic in supporting a variety of local, community driven projects. The grants... are used to assist not-for-profit community groups provide services, host events and upgrade equipment and facilities that benefit their local community. All of our successful recipients do fantastic work in our local communities, Ms Fentiman said. Ms Fentiman said eligible organisations can get online and apply for funding under Round 108 from today. We know 2020 was extremely tough for so many Queenslanders, Ms Fentiman said. These grants will continue to support our hardworking local groups and in turn create safer and harmonious communities. I encourage any community organisations including sporting clubs, P&Cs and not-for-profits to apply for grants of up to $35,000 for projects that will benefit their community.
