13.01.2022 Mental Health is a complex topic and journey. We’re finally moving into a era where if you have a mental disorder you hopefully receive less judgement. I hope people are more understanding and open minded. Words credited to Steph. The courage to move on is tough. Humans are lazy by nature. ... So to get up and go is a feat and everyday deserves a pat on the back. To physically get up and go is one thing but to mentally show up and be on the same page is completely different. So just show up and keep going and if you need that extra nudge don’t be afraid to ask! We’re all human and we’re all in this crazy world together. Just remember you never walk this journey alone. 09.01.2022 This is what mental health looks like. No make up. No photoshop. I’m tired. I have black circles permanently under my eyes and my hair certainly isn’t done! I’m in my safe place. My home in Melbourne. I have my safe 5 people around me. But I’m sure many people have a stigma that people with a mental health disorder are normally high on medication on drugs or something. This is just a girl who on this day didn’t want to leave her safe place. And that’s okay, for me anyway. But... it got me thinking... They say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I tend to disagree with this. Some things that didn’t kill me, came so close they are still damaging. They didn’t make me better. Some things make me worse and can’t that be okay too? Can’t some things just break you? The whole world wants you to believe that admitting defeat makes you weak. There can be pride in vulnerability. Honesty is maturity.
