11.01.2022 Epping Heights Public School has four bands, comprising a training band, an intermediate band, concert band and a stage band for students to join as they progress. Our bands have recently received Gold and Silver Awards for their performance at the NSW Bands Festival. Other performance opportunities include other music festivals, the Anzac Day ceremony, regular assemblies & special assemblies at school, and our annual Strictly Live Concert. Instruments in the band include bra...ss, woodwind, strings, percussion and keyboards. Our musicians play flute, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, euphonium, violins, cello, double bass, tuba, electric bass and percussion including drums. Our band program is run by a volunteer parent sub-committee of the P&C which is supported by the school, and employs a professional conductor. There are many benefits to being part of a school band, including developing as a musician, learning the delayed reward from persistent practice, being part of a team, benefiting from performance opportunities, building self-esteem and the pleasure of making music together with others. We would like to welcome you and your child into the band community. See New members information
