13.01.2022 I heard Shanes poem (current serving member) today on the radio and thought Id share it for those who missed it. Its not about the badge or the uniform we we...ar, We do it for you and because we care. We leave our families to protect your home and you, And we do it because we care about what we do. We do it to serve you and protect you as best as we can, We do it even knowing what risks are at hand. Our uniforms arent strong and theyre not made of steel, Nor are the emotions of how we can feel. We are human, we feel pain just like you do, We see so many things that you wouldnt want to. But tonight weve all seen it and felt such a grief, Of losing four lives in circumstances that beggar belief. Tragically taken while they protected us all, Tragically taken and cant protect us no more. The tears are now flowing and our hearts are aching, For the loss we are feeling and how our hearts are breaking. Tonight we cry at the loss of family and friends, And the tears will never dry and our thoughts will never end. You will live in our hearts and thoughts in every way, Of the risks that you took and the price that you paid.

Immediate cleaning / disinfection of indoor heat exchange coils (this will ensure correct and efficient operation for your HVAC system can be achieved) using approved methods and chemicals. Duct cleaning to reduce the build-up of dust and associated microorganisms which can have an adverse effect on the health of your buildings occupants. New air filters should be replaced as scheduled or more often as required. Recommend upgrading or replacing the filter media to F7 F9 grades, subject to fan capacity limitations and system design. Condensate drain cleaning to ensure that drains are free flowing and not pooling in the mixing chamber. A full service and maintenance operating check. Increase maintenance frequency pending usage. HVAC is a vital consideration for building operators in our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. A well-controlled indoor environment can have a significant role in reducing the spread of disease as well as maintaining our personal immune defenses.
