25.01.2022 We have been partnering with @tandum_org for several years now and it is one of our proudest achievements. We believe the work Tandum does is so very important. Reading this latest post broke our hearts . Reposted from @tandum_org TRIGGER WARNING ... We are working around the clock in preparing for our September GIRLS DESERVE DIGNITY program. It has never been more vital that this program kick off as the challenges faced in poverty stricken communities during a global pandemic as you can imagine are many. On a recent trip by our local Kenyan based project manager he met with a range of communities for the planning of this program rollout and the excitement by female community leaders to educate, encourage and support these young girls was fiercely passionate. Sadly the increase in teen pregnancy has had a significant spike during these Covid times as young girls are forced to walk many miles in search of sanitary products and are finding themselves in at risk situations. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s hard to comprehend the risks these girls face in their daily lives. That’s why this program is VITAL. And it WILL make a difference. ....... Thank you to all of you who have donated and to our key partners @thedigitalpicnic and @bandicutedesigns . Thanks to you 200 girls will be in our program and it will be in a safe and Covid friendly way as we work with @daysforgirls to ensure we get to them as soon as possible.

10.01.2022 Bandicute have been proud supporters of Tandum's Girls Deserve Dignity program for many years now. In our privileged society, access to sanitary items is something we often take for granted and we don't stop to consider (or at least we did not) the impact that this issue has on a girl's education. Your orders have helped provide financial support Tandum needs to deliver reusable sanitary packs to hundreds of girls living in remote Kenyan communities, so that they can go to sc...hool and live with dignity! So for that we say a massive THANK YOU! Tandum are now preparing to deliver the next round of reusable sanitary kits to more Kenyan school girls, and we can't tell you how excited we are to see the smiles on their faces when they receive them. We design our fabrics and products here on our farm in Gunning, NSW, where we live right next to each other with our hubbies and Jess’ two girls, Lilly and Hannah (plus a few and ).
