24.01.2022 FINALLY! Did you know that you can now conveniently have your parcels delivered from third-party couriers to your local Post Office? If you currently shop online and the sender will not accept a PO Box address as a delivery point, this may be the service for you. INTRODUCING PO Box Plus - If you currently have a Post Office Box with us, you now have the option to have 3rd party couriers (such as TNT, Toll, Fastways, Couriers Please etc) delivered to the post office. ... - PO Box Plus is a new service that is available now to all Post Office Box (private) customers. Unfortunately this service is currently not available to a Business PO Box. - The service allows private PO Box customers to receive up to 50 articles per year delivered by third-party carriers to your local Post Office. How much does this service cost? - PO Box Plus is available for an introductory price of $24 for 12 months ($2 per month pro rata), up until 31st of March 2021. - Should your limit of 50 parcels per PO Box in a billing year be exceeded, only an additional fee of $3 per article applies. - Your items are kept safe and secure inside the Post Office - We will hold your parcel for up to 1 month - The service is available immediately when you sign up How to subscribe to the service? - Come in and see us at the Post Office whether you are a new customer or an existing PO Box owner. 17.01.2022 Long time between posts folks! So you may have heard about a little thing going around by the name of Covid-19 (actually sounds nasty huh) that has effected so many people around the world and in our little corner of paradise. So I'm here to let you know that we are still open and operating as normal. Well if normal means cleaning and sanitising everything then that is our new normal. We are just if you are unwell and showing any symptoms of the virus, we please ask your coop...eration in staying at home. It's much nicer there for you and us. If you are isolating at home due to being unwell or for any other reason, there are options for you to still get your mail articles from the post office. 1. Ask a mate/neighbor/good samaritan to collect for you. If you are going to use this option, please provide them an authorization from you so we can make sure your parcels are safely handed over to the right person. You can either fill in a "collection authorisation" which is on the reverse side of the parcel collection card or shoot through a copy of your Photo ID to your nominated agent (text message or email is fine) with a quick note to us saying it is ok for your agent to collect on your behalf. 2. If you are not going to get your item collected in time (10 working days from arrival date) then your item can be held at the post office. Just ring customer service on 13 13 18 with the tracking number and they will put a hold request on your item. 3. Transfer to another post office for collection. If you're heading off somewhere else, you can organise to have an item transferred to another post office more convenient for you to collect. Just contact customer service on 13 13 18 and nominate your preferred pick up point. There may be a small fee involved for this but customer service will advise. That should keep you all sorted right! Also a quick shout out to any Bangalow retailers that have sadly had to close up shop recently. We're here to support you so please reach out if you need us to hang onto anything that arrives through the mail for you or if we can help in any other way. So yes for the moment we are planning to keep operational as long as we are able or told to. 15.01.2022 So...it's pretty simple really. Whatever we looooove to eat we stock in the post office. Now we have 500g & 1kg locally grown super yummy macadamias. ..... Because we needed more!!!

14.01.2022 Just a little reminder that if you're sending parcels overseas for Christmas to get them on their way pretty soon. Cut off dates for standard tracked post going to USA, Canada, UK and Europe is 16th November, most of Asia is 23rd November and NZ is 27th November. After these dates you can still send by express post but we recommend sending as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.

13.01.2022 We all love our bees in the Byron Hinterland. We even had a hive in the post office chimney for a while! So you may just like these Native Bees stamp pack, only $4.45 that includes $4 of stamps and a pretty little presentation folder too. A great gift idea for the Dad that is hard to buy for. 08.01.2022 Dropping in to let you know we've extended our trading hours in this busy festive season. Starting this Saturday 5th Dec, we will be open from 9am to 12pm on every Saturday leading up to Christmas Day. Please note that mail will not be going out on the weekend though but you can drop off and pick up parcels as normal. We're also able to process passport and tax file number applications and have an awesome range of gifts for everyone in your life (or yourself )

08.01.2022 Just popping in to let you all know Australia Post have just announced that we can offer local businesses half price PO box rentals starting today. The rental goes through until 31st March 2021 and is $89.50, you are also eligible to have your mail redirected from a street address (can be a business or home address) included in that price for a 6 month period. PO Boxes can be accessed 24/7, you can organise for any incoming parcels and mail to be redirected so they can be held at the post office until you're able to collect and we can also send you an email notification whenever you have something to collect from your PO box so you don't have to come into town every day.
