25.01.2022 Update: Boil Water Advisory Notification lifted across all suburbs. Water quality testing has confirmed that the water supply in the network is safe to drink. ...Please see latest post https://www.facebook.com/YVWater/posts/3564687696915692 --------------- Boil Water Advice: Our potential water quality issue is affecting the suburbs listed below. The water comes from closed catchments and has been mixed with disinfected water so the likelihood of any illness being caused is low. But we believe it is better to be safe than sorry. We are working with Melbourne Water and DHHS and will confirm when the boiled water notice is withdrawn. If you have already drunk the water, there is a low risk of potential gastro type of illness. People should contact their GP if this occurs. 15.01.2022 B careful International Students!!

13.01.2022 Our laws weren't written for times like this. So we've had to make some changes quickly to keep our state running. To extend payments for injured workers. T...o ensure family violence and child protection teams can keep families safe. To help local councils maintain critical services. And to give tenants and landlords some extra support with a freeze on rent increases, help for Victorians to pay their rent if they're struggling financially, and support for landlords. We're asking Victorians to do things differently and so the way we work at all levels of government has to change too.

04.01.2022 A new Australian biosecurity in-flight video is taking off across the globe today, with a clear and simple message for incoming passengers ‘don’t be sorry, ju...st declare it’. Before we check your bags at the border, make sure you mark ‘yes’ on the incoming passenger card if you’re carrying any biosecurity risk items. It doesn’t matter where you are travelling from, you must declare fresh food, goods made from plant and animal material, and any wooden souvenirs. We discovered more than 340,000 biosecurity risk items in passenger’s bags in 2017, including fresh meat, live marine animals, reptiles, seeds and plants. Plant and animal products can bring exotic pests and diseases into the country, and severely threaten our $63 billion agricultural industry, unique wildlife and environment. Giving false or misleading information is a serious offence and you can face fines of up to $12,600 or 12 months in prison. So don’t be sorry, just declare it. Have friends or family travelling to Australia soon? Share this video as an important reminder that no excuse is good enough when it comes to Australian biosecurity. Head to agriculture.gov.au/passenger-video to check out the videos in English, Mandarin and Hindi. To learn more about what can and can’t be brought to Australia, visit agriculture.gov.au/travelling.
