11.01.2022 On behalf of the Victorian Government, it gives me great pleasure to wish all Muslims a Ramadan Mubarak during this holy month. Ramadan is a time when Muslims a...round the world honour the traditions of Islam. It is a time to reflect on the universal themes of charity, empathy, selflessness and compassion. Ramadan reaffirms the commitment to the Muslim message of self-sacrifice for the benefit of others, a message that resonates for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Our Muslim community continues to make a profound contribution to our diverse and cohesive society, and the teachings of Ramadan carry significance for all Victorians. On behalf of the Victorian Government, I wish everyone a happy and joyous Ramadan.

In Victoria, we currently have 19 wind farms that have planning approval but are yet to be commissioned. This pipeline of wind projects, if fully developed, will result in an estimated investment of just under $5 billion and support as many as 2,638 jobs throughout regional Victoria. We're also calling on the Federal Government to remove section 7c from the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000,which prevents State Governments from having their own schemes similar to the Renewable Energy Target (RET). Tell Tony Abbott to let Victoria set its own renewable energy target www.thisislabor.org/vret
