23.01.2022 It's certainly been a busy couple of weeks. Halloween, visit from Menai Fire + Rescue where we spoke about fire safety and we got to ask a lot of questions. Some of our Scouts didn't know that our Firies don't just attend fires, they attend accidents too as well as helping our community in many other ways. We also learnt that we need to learn our address in case of an emergency. Tonight was making our horses for our own " Melbourne Cup " race. Lots of laughs and wonderful horses designed.
21.01.2022 Exciting afternoon with lots of questions about, what role does a Police Officer and their dog play in the Police Force. Meet Constable Ryan. He gave us the honour of helping with our opening and closing ceremonies, introduced us to two of the dogs and taught and showed us how the dogs find bad stuff. We also learnt why they can fail too pass. Likes playing to much. Fantastic night to end November before we star our Christmas theme.
16.01.2022 Tonight we finished up the year with our BBQ being down by the Woronora River. Santa made it too hand out gifts to our Scouts. We had some new friends come along and we sang our traditional Christmas songs to welcome Santa in. Thank You to everyone that brought a plate along to share with your buddies. Merry Christmas and may you all have a safe and fun break. Thank You too Liam Fallon for your help in setting up, cooking and packing up. I look forward to our first meeting in 2020 to see what ideas you have for our coming terms.
07.01.2022 Due too Weather Conditions in the Menai area. No meeting tonight. I have emailed/messaged the change and left a note on the door. Our activity for tonight is rescheduled to next week. Please come in casual clothing. :) :)
03.01.2022 We welcomed back the year with music and a great game of dodge ball. We also welcomed a new buddy that said she enjoyed our craft and games night. This term, our group has decided to focus on a food theme. How food can be good or bad for our teeth. Making right choices and how too clean our mouths correctly. Next term the choice of our topic is Sports. In the meantime we are learning how to sign our Scouts Law and Promise.
