11.01.2022 GAME DAY UPDATE Sunday 19 July Covid-19 Considerations The first important message is that ALL Bangor games are still all-systems-go... There have been questions raised as a consequence of the 1 week commencement delay announced yesterday for the Western Sydney Junior Competition. Please note the Sydney Harbour Competition (that is us) is cautiously proceeding, with some tightened controls in place. NSW Sport, Sutherland Shire Council and AFL NSW have each very reasonably provided guidance for tightening controls and restrictions on game day. Very largely those guidelines fall into good sense categories such as not opening parts of our club unnecessarily (the Clubhouse), making sensible decisions around Canteen (we will have pies/sausage rolls, not sausages, eggs and bacon), dispersing groups of people (simple social distancing folks), the playing surface is essentially a quarantine area (players and those with official roles only) and ensuring hygiene products are available (please use the hand sanitiser). As a Club we are required to monitor and limit, within practical boundaries, those in attendance at our games. A big part of this is, where possible, each player should have just ONE parent or Guardian in attendance with them and NO extended family or friends. This is a critical element to limit numbers at the ground and maximise contact traceability in the worst-case scenario of a reported Covid-19 case or close contact. Player attendance at the ground (and therefore traceability of an accompanying Guardian) is automatically recorded via their presence on a team sheet. Condition of entry to Barden Ridge Oval: Please note that if you have visited Victoria any time in the last 14 days, or have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates) within the outlined timeframes (player, official or parent/guardian), we are compelled to exclude you for this game day and ask you to please make a Club Official aware if you or your family member fits in that category. We understand that these restrictions and the announcements themselves can at times raise concerns or anxiety. If you have concerns either prior to or during game-day, please raise them sensitively and productively to a Club Official, mindful that we are in the business of giving kids (little kids and big kids) a positive day of sport which has been deeply missed over the last few months. We are all looking forward to a fantastic Round 1 of Footy at Barden Ridge Oval PLEASE make sure you do your bit to ensure we also get Rounds 2 to 9 .. plus Finals! Eat em Alive Tigers

08.01.2022 2020 Season Presentation Due to the current Covid restrictions presentation this year will be held at the ground from 9-10.30am on Sunday 18th of October. We as...k that players attending gather with their team Coaches and Managers and parents maintain a social distance around the ground. Thanks to everyone for abiding by the rules in place for this year and for making the season happen. We look forward to seeing you soon and if for any reason arrangements need to change we will update as soon as possible.

06.01.2022 Another cracking game by the Under 10s today, played with plenty of heart and Tiger spirit. Congratulations to Louis Cooper for playing his 50th game for the mighty Tigers!!

05.01.2022 The U /10s are playing fantastic football so far this season, and they even look like they are having fun. Today was another good win and we are proud of the efforts both individually and more importantly the teamwork they consistently show. Well done everyone.

04.01.2022 Farewell and Rest in Peace Lorraine Cloney Volunteers are the lifeblood of Community Sporting Clubs and the Bangor Tigers were blessed many years ago to have the Cloney family join our family. I doubt anyone could be involved with AFL in the South of Sydney and not know of Lorraine, her husband Brian Cloney (BC) and the incredible contribution they have both made, first with us and then with local senior AFL club Southern Power. Lorraine was awarded Life Membership for both C...lubs, a testament to an amazing woman who continued to give tirelessly long after sons Glen and Stuart retired from playing football. While Lorraine has been recognised many times by the AFL, by Southern Power and by the Bangor Tigers for her incredible volunteer contribution, Lorraines most important life work was as a dedicated and loving mother and wife. BC, Stuart, Elise and Glen our hearts are with you - Rest Peacefully Lorraine The Bangor Tigers are forever grateful

02.01.2022 U11 Friday Night Football Last Friday we had our clash against Miranda. While not our night the boys had a great time playing under lights. Keep up the hard work guys. Heres some of the action.

01.01.2022 Sorry All...Grounds are closed today...No Training at Barden Ridge

01.01.2022 Oh how we love this team! The U13’s have had a year of re-building and the younger players have not only stepped up an age group but have excelled in their own personal development. The last three games played have been exciting to watch and shown some outstanding game play, a glimpse to what 2021 is going to bring. Congratulations to all players, the win was secured because every player on the field played hard, and most importantly you played as a team. We are all so proud of all your efforts, passion, commitment and resilience. Can’t wait to see you all back in action next year. Go Tigers!

01.01.2022 This weekends footy fixtures will go ahead as planned as we work through the latest NSW Health Recommendations. READ MORE: https://bit.ly/2EnoPE8

01.01.2022 Congratulations Archie on your 50 game milestone. What a way to end the U13s season!

01.01.2022 UPDATE As of tomorrow, small group training can occur in groups of 20 Full Protocols here: https://bit.ly/2MP444S

01.01.2022 It could have been mistaken for a soccer match at times due to the wet conditions making the ball super slippery to grab hold of but the U13s held lead throughout the game to secure a win against the Hawks. Some good individual performances and the younger team members are looking more confident on the footy. Great game to watch!
