18.01.2022 ROUND 8 This week both grades have named strong sides as we square off against St. Marys. After two close games last week, the Div 1 & 2 look to solidify their positions on the ladder. We return to our home deck, Gardens Oval for two late games. The Div 1 kick off at 6:00PM while the Div 2 get underway at 4:00PM. A great opportunity to come down, watch some good footy and enjoy the cooler late afternoon conditions with a sneaky froffie. ... 15.01.2022 MATCH RESULTS ROUND 8 We came away with mixed results from the weekends’ home game against St. Marys.... An inaccurate Div 1 side struggled to play footy on their terms and were outplayed by a youthful and slick St. Marys side. Heading in to the final term 22 points adrift, they battled hard in wet conditions but came up short. When the final siren sounded, St. Marys came out victors by a solitary goal. Our best for the day were Jack Lovechild Castles who was competitive and tough to beat in deference all night and Ashton Hams who used the ball efficiently by hand and foot coming out of half back. Multiple goal scorers for the night were Boof and Joel, both kicking two while the rest were shared between Ando, Gilly and Ebo. Div 2 overcame a slow first quarter to record a percentage boosting win. Goals came thick and fast, especially during the second and third quarters with 13.2 being recorded. Standouts for the game were Weasel Milner who seemed to mark everything and use his run effectively to set up play. Mr. Consistent Micky Flint continued to read the ball well and be creative off half back. With 18 goals being scored, there was a huge spread of goal scorers. Peanuts Smith showed he wasn’t allergic to a goal, booting 3. Richie also slotted his standard 3 while Burner, Matt Little and Benny Farish all recorded 2. 14.01.2022 MATCH RESULTS ROUND 13 After looking shaky early, Division 2 did their best to stay with a Tahs’ outfit stocked with talent. Banks looked like challenging the Tahs’ and delivering their first loss of the season but it wasn’t to be, with legs tiring and Tahs’ running out winners in a spirited performance.... Division 1 started similarly shakily and took a little while to adjust but when the heavens opened, we adapted to the conditions much better. Boof Ewing was a powerhouse and the most influential on ground kicking 4 of 5 Dogs goals and making a contest. Trailing all day, the Bulldogs finally got in front just ahead of 3/4 time with weather threatening, ensuring when the game was halted just 2 minutes in, they were in a winning position and after a half hour rain delay, took home four points over the arch enemy. #bluewhiteandtrue #dogsofthenorth #oneclub #woof #NTFL #AFLNT #Darwinfooty #territoryfooty

13.01.2022 MATCH RESULTS ROUND 14 Throughout the Div 1 match, the boys looked to break the game open and record a percentage boosting win on a number of occasions. Some missed opportunities in-front of goal didn’t allow this to happen, in the end coming away 48 point victors. Pav continued to dominate in the midfield while Hamsy directed play from half back. Pav also starred up forward, kicking 4 goals while others were shared amongst the team. ... Division 2 completed a dominating performance over the Crocs, recording a massive 137 point win to see them sit 2 points clear in second place on the ladder. Richie was our best for the day, taking his chances and snagging 8 of the best! BH showed a clean set of hands and smart use of the footy to create opportunities. Apart from Richie, multiple goalscorers included Goat (3) & Burto (2) while 7 players managed to sneak one through the big sticks.
