17.01.2022 JOBKEEPER EXTENSION 2 | JobKeeper extension 2 commences on 4 January 2021 and will run until 28 March 2021. The reduced rates of JobKeeper payments during this extension period are as follows: Tier 1 $1,000 per fortnight... Tier 2 $650 per fortnight To claim payments for this period, employers will need to show that their actual GST turnover has declined in the December 2020 quarter relative to a comparable period (generally the corresponding quarter in 2019). If the quarter ending 31 December 2019 is not an appropriate comparison period, you may be able to use an alternative test. Employers are also reminded that there are extended reporting dates for recent and upcoming JobKeeper fortnights: 4 January 2021 Deadline for employers to meet the wage condition for eligible employees for JobKeeper fortnight 20 (21 December 2020 3 January 2021). 28 January 2021 Business monthly declarations for JobKeeper fortnights 18, 19 and 20 are due. 31 January 2021 Deadline for employers to meet the wage condition for eligible employees for JobKeeper fortnights 21 (4 January 2021 17 January 2021) and 22 (18 January 2021 31 January 2021).

They must also confirm the payment tier being claimed for each eligible employee and business participant. 16 November is an extension of the usual due date of the 14th of each month, as the Australian Taxation Office's online services will be undergoing maintenance on 14-15 November.
