25.01.2022 Christina who picked Puzzle and Yellard as her bday pressent suprise, brought a friend out to the farm who was interested in adding a couple of alpacas to her property... but it was Christina who fell in love then and there with Magnus and just had to add him to her little herd. Magnus was in our Show team and had recieved a blue ribbon at the 2019 Perth Royal Show. 24.01.2022 A new customer made contact about a single alpaca they had been left with that they would like to find some company for. They selected Magdalena and Angel to fulfil the role. Magdalena is actually my daughters first and only alpaca she has bred so far. She has taken better to her first sale then I ever did! 24.01.2022 With a 7 week old baby attached, Mel has returned. Last year Mel purchased a white and a black wether, so returned to finish off the herd with a brown and a grey this year (hes a personal favourite, isn't his little spot just the cutest). For now she says she's finished but wait till she finds her self some more land! Beware alpacas are addictive!!

The alpacas ideally should be introduced to the pregnant ewe flock about 4-6 weeks ...before lambing to allow time for bonding. However it is never too late to introduce a pair of guardian alpaca to a flock - even after lambing or kidding has begun. Alpacas can improve lambing and kidding percentages by 15 30%. Great place to take the kids to get out of the house this school holidays. 13.01.2022 Couple weeks back we took in this brown alpaca and his grey donkey mate. They have been together for nearly 10 years and were inseparable when they arrived. It made me rethink the whole alpacas and donkeys need their own species company concept as they seemed very happy together. Over the weekend I added another couple of donkeys and alpacas to the paddock to see what would happen. Straight away they have chosen their own respective species.... 13.01.2022 These 4 gorgeous young ladies will be of to their new home all together in a couple more weeks once halter training is all complete. Mothers in tow till they all return for Shearing and weaning later in the year. I used to get excited with every alpaca we sold meaning one less we have to shear for the year. That's no longer the case now that we can shear them ourselves and offer this service to our clients. It is certainly lovely tho being able to keep in touch with them as they grow up.
