25.01.2022 Banksia Village resident Ken loves technology and gadgets. A ham radio enthusiast for many years, Ken now enjoys flying model aeroplanes and is a member of Eurobodalla Model Aero Club inc.. Ken has a number of different planes that he loves to fly and was proud to show us his collection, safely stored in his garage.

18.01.2022 Banksia Lodge residents enjoyed visiting the Westpac Helicopter at Moruya Airport last week. Westpac team members gave a talk on the role of the rescue helicopter and pointed out some of its key features. All the residents said they learnt a lot! With thanks to the team at Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopters

16.01.2022 Many friends and supporters of Banksia will remember "Metro" - Banksia Lodges resident therapy dog. Patient and loyal, Metro was prone to gaining weight, due to all the treats he received from residents. Metro retired a few years ago, and we recently learned that he sadly passed away last month. Thanks for all the wonderful memories Metro!

08.01.2022 A large group of Banksia Lodge residents enjoyed a delightful socially-distanced outing last week, to the newly reopened Eurobodalla Botanic Garden. After admiring the sculptures, the new plantings since the bushfires, and the seedlings and plants available for purchase, residents headed to the cafe for a cup of tea or coffee. Afterwards, a picnic lunch in the garden was a lovely finish to the trip. Eurobodalla Shire Council

08.01.2022 We just love the gorgeous spring colours of these Grevillea varieties - which can all be found in the gardens of Banksia Village.

05.01.2022 Throwback Thursday takes us to 1998, when the Waratah swimming pool arrived on the back of a truck and was craned into position. The pool area was recently refurbished and a current photo shows how it looks in 2020.
