17.01.2022 First Lego League Northern Nationals comp. Both teams did very well at Nationals. Senior team came 2nd in Robot Performance (second highest robot score) and won 2nd place Champions award the highest possible award at the competition. Great work done by our Robotics students. Congrats to them and Mr Hobson.

17.01.2022 ICAS certificates have arrived for students in Years 2-6 who participated in the UNSW ICAS testing in Science, English and/or Maths. Distinction and High Distinction certificates will be presented on parade in Week 2 for Years 2-3 and Week 3 for students in Years 4-6. Participation, Merit and Credit certificates will be presented in class.... Congratulations again to all students who participated in the ICAS testing program in 2020.

Mon Fri 8.30-5pm Saturday 9am-3pm Sunday and public holidays 10am-2pm (JANUARY 2021 ONLY) You will find The School Locker to be a one stop shop for all your back to school needs in one air conditioned shop. Purchase Banksia Beach State School uniforms plus school shoes, stationery, technology and musical accessories. 7 Days a week trading in January helps everyone shop at a convenient time to them. The School Locker will also open the CAMPUS LOCATION on site at the school on Tuesday 19th January and Thursday 21st January 8am-12pm for all your last minute uniform items before school starts. A number system will be in force due to covid restrictions and one family will be served at a time. Max of 4 people in the uniform shop for try ons and fittings.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Kayla on being selected to play into the Football Queensland TSP (Talent Support Program) State Champions which were held over the September school holidays. Within this championship she was playing in the U12 SAP select team and competing against teams from all over QLD. Further from there she has been selected from the Queensland TSP State Champions to train in October and November where they will be then selected for the QAS (Queensland Academy of Sports) under 13's 2021 squad. What a champion!

06.01.2022 On Thursday Banksia Beach State School Robotics teams competed in the regional FIRST Lego League robotics competition. Both Banksia teams performed well and are eager to see if any awards may come their way. The organisers of the regional competition, QUT Robotics have provided a link to view the ceremony on Zoom. 05.01.2022 There is a Regional trial for baseball on Thursday 29 October, from 9.00am- 2.30pm, at the Redcliffe Padres Baseball Club. These trials are for students born in either 2007, 2008 or 2009. The regional form states that students should be playing at a club level and preferably have some representative experience. If students meet the criteria and are interested, they should see Mr Mac to collect the trial forms. Private transport will be required to get to the trials and there is a cost of $23.

04.01.2022 Regional Golf trials are being held on Tuesday 9 February at Beerwah Golf Club. Students must be 10 years of age or older, this year - born either 2011, 2010 or 2009. Boys must also have an AGU handicap of 27 or less. Girls must have an AGU handicap of 36 or less. Private transport is required to get to these trials. Please see Mr Mac if you meet the criteria and are interested in trialling.
