24.01.2022 This term at Banksia Gardens we are running a FREE Computer Coding course for young people aged 15 to 25 who have recently arrived in Australia. The course will be delivered by Computer Scientist, Sebastian Sardina, a Senior Research Fellow at RMIT University. The program is perfect for young people wanting to learn computer programming skills and pursue a career in IT! See the flyer for more information!

Hume City Council are introducing womens only Sunday evening sessions from 6pm-8.30pm....starting Sunday, 24 September. Womens only swimming is a program designed to empower women to improve their health and wellness. Intended for women of all ages and abilities, these evening sessions will provide a safe and private environment for women to engage with the local community. 03.01.2022 Last week we celebrated Victorias adult community education providers at the 2018 Learn Local Awards. This sector works at the grassroots of our community to t...rain Victorians in the foundation skills they need to get a job or undertake further training. Put simply - Learn Locals change lives. We recognised the vital contribution they make to our training system - thats why I announced an extra $5 million in funding for literacy, numeracy and language training, as well as more support for teachers. We need a training system that supports all Victorians, training at all levels, to get the skills they need to get a job.

Aiming High specifically targets young people in the wider Hume area doing their years 11 and 12. The program offers these students who care about their studies in-depth support with tutors and time to collaborate with like-minded students. Do you... Have the patience to be an inspirational role model to young people, in encouraging them to achieve their best? We are looking for committed tutors who are passionate about their subject to join the tutor team across our two sites in 2017: Aiming High at Craigieburn Library, Mondays (term-time) 4 to 6 pm.
