25.01.2022 UPDATE| End of 2020 Youth Competitions Our Club has been advised by Football NSW that the Boys and Girls Youth and SAP seasons will end as scheduled in the first weekend of November. We will provide a further update when the fixtures are confirmed for October.

The Club has been allocated a limited amount of spectator tickets , please visit the Clubhouse to obtain a ticket . 11.01.2022 COACHES ANNOUNCEMENT We are delighted to announce the promotion of George Fernandez to the role of Technical Director for all youth teams at our club - boys and girls. As of this week, we will be commencing the full integration of our NPL Girls and Boys Youth teams, with the model to be rolled out for complete implementation for the 2021 season. This will see joint training sessions between boys and girls youth teams, and our whole Club developing players with the same positi...ve philosophy! Can’t wait for George to rollout this NSW first model. A big welcome also to Jose Da Costa who will be the head coach for our Under 15s Girls in 2021. Welcome onboard Jose!

We discuss his time as a footballer, his magical moment playing with the Under 17 Joeys that made the ’99 FIFA World Cup Finals and his step up to the coaching world which will see him feature in our very own NPL with Bankstown City FC next season. 07.01.2022 Congratulations to our First Grade Men who defeated Bankstown United 4-1 today at Jensen Park. This result sees us finish 2nd on the ladder, and hosting finals football next weekend at Jensen. More importantly, thank you to the many people who supported our Club fundraiser for Human Appeal Australia. There were many cakes sold and enjoyed on the day, all for a good cause in helping the recovery effort in Beirut.... A fantastic $3100 will be donated to Human Appeal.

05.01.2022 City of Canterbury Bankstown today finished installing lights at our second home Potts Park. This fantastic project will enable full time usage of Potts Park for over 300 of our players, 5 nights a week, in Winter and in Summer. We can wait to test out the lights when they shortly become operational!

04.01.2022 Match Report for Under 18 Men Bankstown City Lions 4 (Taylor,Vu,Nikolovski,Trifunovski) Stanmore 3... Bankstown City Lions claimed their second win from as many weeks, winning at Jensen Park on Saturday afternoon. After going behind against the run of play the Lions clawed there way back, coach Talevski sent on Taylor after 30mins with immediate impact, Taylor levelled the score and had assist for the 2nd goal scored by Vu giving the Lions 2-1 lead at half-time. Stanmore came out in the second half and levelled the score 2-2. The Lions struck back with great lead up work from Taylor,Trifunovski for a great goal by Nikolovski to give the Lions the lead 3-2. The Lions continued there domination in the 2nd half with solid games from Wilson, Dimanoski and Bogdanoski in defence. The Lions conceded a third goal while looking to make it four from a corner Stanmore counter attack and a mix up in defense saw the score level at 3-3. Continued pressure from the Lions resulted in a penalty awarded to the Lions after Najjar was brought down, Trifunovski stepped up to score penalty on second attempt give the Lions 4-3 lead. Lions created more scoring opportunities through Tufevski,Wilson and Vu but the score remained at 4-3 for the Lions. The win is a positive result for the team as it improves every week, the young Lions celebrated after another great win with the famous club song chanted after the game. - Written by Sash Talevski
